2 GENERAL COMPETITION RULES This event is open to all dogs and handlers irrespective of their level in UKI and their organization affiliation. There is no pre-qualification necessary to enter classes, with the exception of the Masters Series Final. Dogs and handlers do not need to be UKI members, but a UKI account must be created to enter the event. This can be created online at Dogs may only compete in one height throughout the whole event. Competitors, who have earned a bye into Round 2 of the UKI Open and/or qualified for the Masters Series Final at a local UKI event, must be the same dog and handler partnerships that compete in these events at the Canadian UKI Nationals, and must also run at the jump height they gained the results at. Classes will be run in strict running order. Running orders will be assigned for the first run of each event and the following runs of each event will run in reverse order of scores. Please see running order section below for details. Classes will be run under UKI rules and regulations with additional rules detailed below. Any further amendments will be posted on the UKI web page and stated in the event confirmation letter. UKI reserves the right to rule at the event on anything not covered in these rules. Masters Final Jumping round and Agility round with the results combined Power & Speed Games class (titling); only class Not For Competition allowed. Novice Agility Biathlon Jumping round and Agility round with results combined Challengers Round Agility class that is a one-off round for those competitors not in the Biathlon Agility or Canadian Open Championship Final. The winner regains place in UKI National Championship Final Agility Biathlon Entry open to ALL dogs that have not entered the Novice Agility Biathlon Consists of a Jumping round and an Agility round with the results combined. Cumulative scoring; least faults wins with time as tie breaker only, in all aspects of the Biathlon. In the event of a tie for the Agility Biathlon Champion, the scores from the Agility round will determine the winner. If there is still a tie, the dogs will compete in a run-off on the Agility course. Eliminations in the Jumping round will not progress to the Agility round. Eliminations in the Agility round will not be placed in the Agility Biathlon. A no-show in either class will result in disqualification from the Agility Biathlon, including prizes and awards. Open Power & Speed Open to ALL dogs, Separate competition for all jump heights A Power and Speed class. Titling with points awarded to your current level. Least faults wins with time used as a tie-breaker. In the event of a tie a run-off will be required. Not For Competition runs are allowed. A time of 35 seconds per dog will be allowed for NFC runs regardless of the standard course time.

3 Novice Biathlon Entry open to Beginner and Novice Level dogs only. If a dog is entered in this competition, they may not enter and run in the regular Agility Biathlon. Consists of a Jumping round and an Agility round with the results combined. Cumulative scoring; least faults wins with time as tie breaker only, in all aspects of the Biathlon. In the event of a tie for the Novice Agility Biathlon Champion, the scores from the Agility round will determine the winner. If there is still a tie, the dogs will compete in a run-off on the Agility course. Dogs will be able to run in the Agility portion regardless of the Jumping score. A no-show in either class will result in disqualification from the Agility Biathlon, including prizes and awards. Games Challenge Entry open to dogs in ALL UKI levels. Consists of a Snooker round and a Gamblers round with the results combined. Running order for Gamblers will run in reverse order of Snooker results. Cumulative scoring; highest number of points wins with time as tie breaker only. In the event of a tie for the Games Challenge champion, the scores from the Gamblers round will determine the winner. If there is still a tie, the dogs will compete in a run-off on the Gamblers course. Scores of 30 or less in the Snooker class will not progress to the Gamblers Round Eliminations (dogs not stopping the timers) will score 0 points with a 60-second course time. A no-show in either class will result in disqualification from the Games Challenge, including prizes and awards. Speed Stakes Challenge Entry open to ALL dogs. Consists of 2 Speed Stakes rounds with the results combined. Running order for round 2 will be in reverse order of round 1 result. Cumulative scoring; least faults wins with time as the tie breaker only. In the event of a tie for the Speed Stakes Challenge, the scores from round 2 will determine the winner. If there is still a tie, the dogs will compete in a run-off on the round 2 course. Eliminations in round 1 will not progress to round 2. Eliminations in round 2 will not be placed in the Speed Stakes Challenge. A no-show in either class will result in disqualification from the Speed Stakes Challenge, including prizes and awards.

4 Masters Series Last Chance Heat Entry open to ALL dogs. Consists of an Agility round and a Jumping round with results combined. Cumulative scoring; dog with the lowest score wins. Faults converted into seconds (5 faults = 5 seconds) and time faults treated the same as course faults but converted on a 1:1 ratio. Winners in each height of the Agility round and the Jumping round qualify for the Masters Series Final. If 1-5 dogs are entered in a jump height 1 st & 2 nd place from the combined scores of Agility and Jumping rounds qualify for the Masters Series Final. If 5 10 dogs are entered in a jump height 1 st - 3 rd will qualify, above 10; 1 st 4 th will qualify. In the event of a tie for the combined results, the result from the Agility round will be the deciding factor. If there is still a tie, the dogs will compete in a run-off on the Agility course. Eliminations will result in 100 faults with a 60-second course time. Dogs that score 320 and over will not be placed. A no-show in either class will result in disqualification from the Last Chance Heat, including prizes and awards. Masters Series Final All handler and dog partnerships must pre-qualify in a local Masters Series Heat from around the country to enter the Final (Last Chance Heat held at the Canadian UKI Nationals). Competitors must note on the Canadian UKI Nationals entry form the date and show where qualified. Pre-qualification can be gained at local heats by winning the individual Masters Series Agility & Jumping classes and/or the combined results as stated in the local heat rules. Consists of an Agility round and a Jumping round with results combined. Cumulative scoring; dog with the lowest score wins. Faults converted into seconds: 5 faults = 3 seconds (note this is different than the heats). Time faults treated as course faults but converted on a 1:1 ratio. In the event of a tie the result from the Agility round will be the deciding factor. If there is still a tie, the dogs will compete in a run-off on the Agility course. Eliminations will result in 100 faults with a 60 second course time. Dogs that score 320 and over will not be placed. A no-show in either class will result in disqualification from Masters Series Final, including prizes and awards. UKI Canadian Open Entry open to ALL dogs. Consists of a Round 1, Round 2 (semifinal), and Final. Round 1 will be a Jumping class. Round 2 and the Final will be an Agility class. Each round is a separate competition (scores not cumulative). In each round the dog with the least faults will be deemed the winner with time used as a tie breaker. Automatic Byes: To earn an automatic bye into Round 2, dog and handler partnerships must earn 2 Agility clear rounds and (in the height they wish to compete in at the Canadian UKI Nationals) between Sept 5, 2014 and August 9, 2014 in their current UKI level. Masters Heat classes are included. Entry to Round 2: The top 50% of the Round 1 initial entry or top 10 in each height, whichever is higher, will progress to Round 2 (eliminations will not move forward). Automatic byes are not included in the count of Round 1 entry. Running orders for Round 2 will be reverse order of results from Round 1. Automatic Byes may run in Round 1 under competition rules (no training allowed) but their result will not be included in Round 1. It will, however, determine their running order in Round 2. If a bye entry chooses not to run in Round 1, they will be first in the running order for Round 2.

5 In the event of a tie a run-off will be required. Eliminations will result in 100 faults with a 60-second course time. Finals: The top 6 from the semifinal in each height will qualify for the Final (eliminations will not move forward). Running orders for the Final will be reverse order of Round 2 results. A no-show in any round will result in disqualification from the UKI National Championship, including prizes and awards. Any extraordinary circumstances to be ruled by UKI. Challenger Round Entry open to ALL dogs that have not progressed to the Biathlon Agility and the UKI National Championship Final. This is to enable anyone who is not in a final on Sunday the chance to redeem their weekend! Consists of an Agility class that is a one-off round with scores from previous rounds irrelevant. Least faults wins with time used as a tie-breaker. In the event of a tie a runoff will be required. The winner qualifies to run in the Canadian UKI National Championship Final. They will run first in the Final (eliminations will not move forward). Any extraordinary circumstances to be ruled by UKI.

6 WAO Team Selection Criteria: Win- on Spots In 2015, two (2) spots in each jump height will be a win- on spot as required by WAO rules one spot will be to compete in the WAO Agility Biathlon and Agility Games championship, and the other will be to compete in the WAO Individual Agility Pentathlon. The qualifying event to fill these spots will be the 2014 UKI Canadian Nationals. Only results from the 12", 16", 22", and 26" height divisions will be used to determine these win- on spots. To be considered, applicants must enter the UKI Canadian National Championship classes, and any heats necessary to prequalify for the Masters Series Final (one round Agility and one round Jumpers), at only these jump heights. Please be aware that UKI jump height cutoffs have a greater range than WAO; therefore, dogs must be entered in the UKI events based upon the equivalent WAO height cutoffs shown below. If dogs are tied on points, the results from just the Agility Biathlon will be used. If they do not meet the requirements, or they decline the invitation, the 2nd place finisher will be invited to fill the spot. If that person declines the spot, the spot will not be filled by a win on. Note: Points cannot be earned for the Agility Biathlon with an elimination in one of the rounds, and they cannot be earned for the Games Challenge with a score of zero in Snooker. Individual Agility Pentathlon Win- on Spots The dog in each jump height (12", 16", 22", and 26") earning the most points from the final cumulative results of each of the following events: UKI Canadian Agility Biathlon UKI Games Challenge UKI Masters Series Final UKI Open National Championship Final will automatically be offered a spot on Team Canada to compete in the 2015 WAO Individual Agility Pentathlon, provided they meet the height, health, citizenship, and other requirements for the WAO team. Team Selection Criteria: Other Positions on Team The other positions in each jump height on the team will be determined by the UKI Team Canada Committee, which is comprised to the team manager, team coach, and UKI Committee members based upon the points gathered in the 2015 Selection Document.
