4 From the airport to the New Munich Trade Fair Centre/ICM There are different possibilities to get from the airport to the New Munich Trade Fair Centre/ICM, for example a special Trade Fair Shuttle Bus during international fairs, public transport and taxis. Trade Fair Shuttle Bus During international trade fairs, a special Trade Fair Shuttle Bus operates between Munich Airport and the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. The buses run at 30-minute intervals non-stop to the trade fair grounds. The journey takes about 45 minutes. You can purchase admission tickets at the trade fair information counter in the Central Area of Munich Airport or in the bus. Fare: EUR 6.50 for a single and EUR 11 for a return journey* Public Transport At Munich Airport, the station for urban railway lines S1 and S8 is directly below the Central Area. Trains in the direction of the city centre run at 10-minute intervals. There are two routes from the airport to the trade fair grounds: Route S1/U2: S1 from the airport to Feldmoching station or Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Change to underground U2 which takes you directly to the trade fair grounds Messestadt West and Messestadt Ost. Route S8/U2: S8 from the airport to Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Change to underground U2 which takes you directly to the trade fair grounds Messestadt West and Messestadt Ost. Fare: We recommend the use of a day ticket. By underground U2, the journey from Munich Central Station to the trade fair grounds takes about 20 minutes. By car If you travel to Munich by car, the trade fair signs and our modern traffic guidance system will lead you from the outskirts and through the city to the new trade fair grounds.
