3 Glazed Pottery Glazed Pottery All of our glazed pots are fired in gas kilns. These are far more environmentally friendly than the large, wood fired Dragon kilns that burn a huge amount of rubber-wood at each firing. The gas kilns also ensure more even colors because the temperature is controllable; unlike that in the wood fired kilns. Very little, if any, color splash shows inside the pots, making them more attractive to consumers. Lovely, traditional designs. Pottery: 7 designs, 7 colors. Bird Baths: 2 designs, 6 colors. Each design comes in three configurations: High, Medium, Low. Each configuration comes in three sizes. All pots feature drainage holes in the base. In fact, the quality of the clay is so high that Impruneta clay tiles were used in the construction of Brunelleschi s famous dome in the Florence Cathedral, built in the 15th century.
