For over twenty two years, we have produced furniture using traditional methods and superior craftsmanship, combined with state of the art machinery and techniques. With our use of progressive tools and technology, we produce furniture that celebrates the natural beauty of wood and is crafted for a long, useful life. Our products are proudly made in North America, using time honoured traditional methods of joinery that leave you comfortable in your investment. Our designs are not reflections of transient fashions but rather, they are influenced by craftsman and designers of the past with the functionality needed and expected in modern design and construction. A few times a year, family and friends gather to celebrate with festive dinners. On these special occasions, sturdy add-on leaves for our traditional harvest tables allow up to three feet of extension.

23 Stains and Tinctures We do not warranty or recommend Tincture on high wear surfaces such as a table top, as it is not a paint and is not bonded directly to the wood but instead, is applied between the sealer and lacquer. True North s standard is to leave high wear surfaces and interiors of cabinets and drawers, stained. When ordering a tincture finish, a stain colour must be selected for the undercoat

26 True North products are made of solid wood and solid core pine plywood. Wood is a living product and will change in colour and will move over its life depending on the environment it is exposed to. All of our products will have some knots and other natural wood characteristics, such as large grain. We cannot eliminate knots from any top or drawer face. Knots will always be a part of our products look and feel. When items are tinctured / painted we apply a sealer to the knots, however the knots may show through the tincture. All lumber is graded at the mill, in addition we grade the lumber at the shop as we are building parts. Moisture content is checked at our shop as well as during construction. All of these steps are used to help ensure a consistent product ends up in your store. Custom Work True North is able to offer a limited amount of Custom built items. Custom contract work is available for larger projects, and can be done in any design and any material. Modifications to our existing product line are available on a one off basis. Any change to our existing products, requires a Custom Quote. When requesting a Custom Quote, please fax the specifications and drawing to us. Include the item number of the piece you want to be Customized. Remember that any change, no matter how small, will affect face frame, door and drawer sizes and, will add to the cost.
