The employee should integrate arts and garden activities into rehabilitation processes and across the campus. Environment: The usual working environment is the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre Campus, a variety of community settings Depending on work requirements the incumbent may be transferred to other locations across SA Health to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities either on a permanent or temporary basis subject to relevant provisions of the Public Sector Act 2009 for Public Sector employees or the SA Health (Health Care Act) Human Resources Manual for Health Care Act employees. Possession of a current SA Drivers Licence and willingness to drive and undertake country travel The incumbent may be required to participate in Counter Disaster activities including attendance, as required, at training programs and exercises to develop the necessary skills required to participate in responses in the event of a disaster and/or major incident. Partnering in the implementation of a horticultural therapy program for HRC. Actively assisting in the integration of clients into the community options, by advocating for their access when necessary. Implementing and evaluating activities and workshops relevant to clients needs and interests across the hospital Providing personal care and support for clients in activities of daily living while they are involved in arts and recreation programs. Preparing, setting up, cleaning up and performing nontechnical maintenance of equipment used. Maintaining up to date statistics, visual records and written information about Arts and Wellbeing program. Maintaining consumable stock used in relation to duties performed, including records of associated costs. Providing information to the Manager on stock or equipment required for requisitioning. Complying with allocated program policies and procedures. Encouraging positive communication and contact Ensuring Hampstead Art Gallery is maintained and current Implementing and evaluating activities and workshops relevant to clients needs and interests across the hospital Demonstrating commitment to a client/person centred approach Participating in quality improvement activities. Attending regular training sessions and participating in approved educational and professional development activities as required. Comply with the service delivery guidelines of Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, Australian Quality Council and National Disability Standards. 7 Knowledge, Skills and Experience ESSENTIAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Personal Abilities/Aptitude/Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with people with an Acquired Brain Injury Ability to assess the interests and abilities of clients. Ability to plan, implement and evaluate outcomes relevant to clients. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
