1 PROFILES OF EAEC-EOC TASK FORCE The European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC) was founded in 2004 in Lodz, Poland, with an official kick off during the ERACON 2005 (Erasmus Coordinators Conference and GO-Exchange Education Fair 2005) in Cyprus. EAEC is a membership association with more than 100 members from EU and Non-EU Countries. The aims of the Association are to: 1. Enable an information and experience among the European Erasmus Programme Coordinators and beyond, 2. Promote mobility of students, academic and administrative staff in the territory of the European Union and beyond, 3. Circulate provisions on the Bologna Process and its updates in academic circles, 4. Promote principles and participation in the Erasmus European Commission Programme, 5. Support the process of raising education and quality standards in the territory of the European Union and beyond, 6. Organise seminars and conferences, with an assumption of enabling direct communication among the Association's members and be a catalyst for increased mobility throughout Europe and beyond, as well as defining new areas of the Association's activity, 7. Prepare and submit project proposals to be funded by the European Commission, 8. Cooperate as a partner in European funded projects, 9. Run surveys and studies on topics relating to the above, 10. Produce publications of interest to the members. 1
2 The European Office of Cyprus (EOC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Nicosia, with a representation office in Brussels. It was co-founded in 2007 by 18 organisations from a wide spectrum of sectors and interests. The European Office of Cyprus aims to offer support to its members, so they can use to the maximum the funding and development opportunities offered by the European Union. To fulfil this assignment, the EOC has developed three basic activities: 1. Representation, visibility and advocacy for EOC Members The EOC members acquire dynamic presence by being represented at the European Institutions, European Organisations, regional representations offices, networks, enterprises, while favourable conditions are created for the promotion of their interests to the decision making groups at EU level. 2. Tailored information and consultation on EU funding opportunities The EOC provides targeted information on the latest European legislation, policies and funding opportunities. The EOC provides consulting services for the optimum use of EU programmes, as well as, support for successful submission of project proposals by finding reliable partners. Moreover, the EOC actively participates as a partner in a number of EU funded projects. 3. Participation in European networks and partnerships The EOC gives great importance to the development of transnational contacts and strategic collaborators, which contribute to successful networking and promotion of mutual interests for shaping the European policy, participating in European programmes and exchanging best practices. The EOC collaborates with more than 250 regional representation offices in Brussels, with a considerable number of European Sectoral networks, as well as, with officials in key-positions at National, European and International level. 2
3 TALOS Development ORGANISATION is a private company, established in 2000 and created with the aim to increase the competitiveness of Cypriot enterprises. Through a dynamic team of young scientists TALOS provides a comprehensive package of services addressing the needs of enterprises especially on matters like research, innovation, technology transfer, management of Intellectual Property, etc. TALOS identified at an early stage the need for creating links between the economy and the wider European market and put great emphasis on the exploitation of the potentials of Cypriot companies in the European market. Today TALOS, considers among the biggest consultancy firm in Cyprus in its areas of expertise, offering a variety of services to the Public, as well as the Private sector of Cyprus. It is also active in EU-funded projects, through a well established network of partners abroad. TALOS has years of demonstrated experience in project management being involved since its foundation in more than 40 European research projects and having taken the responsibility for managing administrative and financial tasks, reporting, maintenance of agreements between the consortium members and handling overall legal, ethical, financial and administrative issues. Moreover, TALOS is an expert in exploiting and disseminating project results and has prepared numerous successful Exploitation Agreements with special emphasis on proper IPR management among the partners. One of its strong assets is to organize and convey wellstructured dissemination activities which help the partners to fully benefit from the project results. TALOS is one of the most successful organization in Cyprus regarding Horizon 2020 results as it managed to obtain funding managing 4 projects under H2020 just during the first year of the programme (2014). 3
4 ENOROS Consulting Ltd, was established in 2006 and has since been active in the field of Project Management in Cyprus and in the European area, providing comprehensive consulting services to the public and private sectors. ENOROS objective is to provide specialized knowledge in planning, management and evaluation of development programs and projects, both at national and European levels. In this regard, the company specializes in the following areas: Provision of Support Officers / Project Management Consultants. Development and Management of Human Resources. Support Services (administrative, social, psychological, etc.) to vulnerable groups and individuals. Elaboration and realisation of Development Studies and Proposals for projects and programs. The modern technological infrastructure and the well-qualified professionals of Enoros Consulting Ltd, guarantee the provision of high quality services respecting customer s needs. The company's development strategy is based upon these four principles: Excellent knowledge of the needs and particularities of the public and private sectors. Expertise in the thematic areas the company operates in. Modern infrastructure and highly trained human resources. Provision of premium services. Enoros Consulting Ltd adheres to a Quality Assurance System and is certified according to EN ISO 9001: 2008 for Project Management of National and International Programs, which ensures the quality and effectiveness of the services provided to its customers within the agreed timelines. 4
5 GrantXpert Consulting is a Cypriot-based SME, with extensive expertise in providing training and consulting services for European and nationally funded programmes. The company was formed in 2009, following the obtainment of a start-up grant for women entrepreneurs. The proposal was ranked first out of 151 proposals. GrantXpert has been appointed as the National Expert for the SME Performance Review conducted on behalf of the European Commission since In the past 6 years GrantXpert has helped a number of Cypriot and European organisations to receive more than 6.8 million EUR from funded programmes. GrantXpert currently employs 8 people, with more than 10 years of working experience in EU-funding projects (Erasmus+, FP7, Leonardo ToI and Mobility, Comenius Multilateral Projects,LIFE+, DAPHNE, Europe for Citizens). GrantXpert has developed research expertise in the following: Utilising EU funding programmes for the enhancement of SME competitiveness Stimulating entrepreneurship levels among young people and women Development of employability skills (leadership, innovation, creativity, etc) Development of knowledge alliances between Universities and businesses GrantXpert has been involved in more than 20 EU funded and structurally funded projects as the financial manager or the dissemination partner. 5
