5 CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY AND EXTERNAL DEVICE DYNAMO POWER Note: Crank the dynamo clockwise at a moderate speed for about 3 minute. This will provide 20~30 minutes for flashlight or radio operation time, the 5~10 minutes for Siren operation time. PLUG INTO UNIT OF DC-OUT JACK CELL PHONE ADAPTER AND CABEL NOT INCLUDED You can also power an external device such as a cell phone (subject to device compatibility), (Not Included), Connect the device to the dynamo out jack and crank the dynamo. AC ADAPTOR (NOT INCLUDED) AC OUTLET Rechargeable Battery DC 6V/200mA Note: Keep the AC Adaptor (Not Included) connected for about 12 hours to fully charge the rechargeable battery. 3

6 AUXILIARY BATTERIES (NOT INCLUDED) 3 X "AA" Batteries for Back-up Replace the 3 AA batteries with new ones when the low battery indicator illuminates, the sound become unstable, or the clock display no longer functions. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc), or rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) batteries. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Remove used batteries promptly. If product is left unused for a long time, please take out AA batteries from the product. 4

7 SETTING THE TIME Time Setting Before setting the time make sure the radio is switched to off position. 1. Press and hold the TIME button and while holding the TIME button press the HOUR button to set the correct hour making sure is set onto correct AM or PM time. 2. Follow the above procedures to set minutes. 3. Finally release the TIME button and time will be set to correct hours and minutes. Note: - In the Radio on mode, press the RADIO / CLOCK button to alternate between radio frequency and clock display. 5

8 SETTING THE ALARM TIME Alarm Setting Before setting the alarm, make sure the radio is switched to off position and MODE switch is slide to the ALARM position. 1. Press and hold the ALARM SET button and while holding the ALARM SET button press the HOUR button to set the correct hour making sure is set on to correct AM or PM time. 2. Follow the above procedures to set minutes. 3. Release the ALARM SET button and display will return to normal time display. 4. Finally press the ALARM button to activate the alarm and the alarm symbol will appear on the screen. Note: - When the alarm sounds press the ALARM button once to stop the alarm. The alarm will sound again same time next day. - When the alarm sounds press the ALARM button twice to permanently deactivate the alarm. 6

9 WAKE TO RADIO ALARM CLOCK TURN TO THE DESIRED STATION SETTING SOUND LEVEL Setting the radio alarm 1. To wake up to the radio alarm, follow the above procedures to set the alarm time. 2. Turn the radio on and select the desire band. 3. Turn the TUNNING knob to desire station. 4. Turn the VOLUME knob to desire sound level. 5. Finally Slide the MODE switch to AUTO position and the radio will come on to the desired station when the alarm time is reached. Note: - When the radio turns on at a set alarm time, press the ALARM button to turn of the radio. - To permanently deactivate the alarm, press the ALARM button once to turn off the alarm, slide the MODE switch to ALARM position and press the ALARM button. The alarm symbol will disappear from the display. 7

12 REPLACING FLASH LIGHT BULB Unscrew the front cover. Remove the bulb by turning counter clockwise. Replace the LED light bulb with 3.6V/90mA. REPLACING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY Rechargeable Battery Pad 10

14 CARE AND MAINTENANCE GENERAL Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with plain, luke-warm water to clean the exterior of the unit. Never use solvents such as benzene or other strong chemical cleaners since these could damage the unit s finish. It is important that no liquid reaches the inside of the unit. POWER DURATION GENERAL RADIO FLASHLIGHT BLINKING / SIREN 10 days with new alkaline batteries/ 8 hours with fully charge built-in rechargeable battery. 1 days with new alkaline batteries/5 hours with fully charged built-in rechargeable battery. 2 days with new alkaline batteries/2 hours with fully charged built-in rechargeable battery. TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE No sound is heard. PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION GENERAL Power is not on. VOLUME Control is set to minimum. Station has not been tuned properly FM reception is weak. AM reception is weak. Select appropriate power source. Adjust the VOLUME Control Tune station properly. Extend the FM antenna. Adjust the position of the unit. Power is not on. Rechargeable Battery Pack is not plug-in properly. Re-plug the Rechargeable Battery Pack. Rechargeable Battery Pack in not function. Rechargeable Battery is in sleeping-mode. Rechargeable Battery by AC/DC adapter for over 12 (Not use over 3 months) hours. (AC/DC adapter not included) 12
