Within Baptist Children s Hospital or on the hospital campus, we offer: For parents of premature or critically ill newborns, our state-of-the-art Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is vital. South Miami Hospital s Child Development Center, at 5975 Sunset Drive, is a parent s resource for diagnostic testing, physical, speech and occupational therapy and other developmental services. Our caring, multidisciplinary team works with ill and injured children, as well as kids with autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. With early intervention, education and support, many children achieve developmental milestones.

6 Health Education and Support From childbirth to breast-feeding, CPR education and parenting skills, we provide free and low-cost support groups and classes for parents and children. Adventure-themed exam rooms filled with toys make getting an X-ray, CT scan, MRI or ultrasound a lot less stressful. Our family-friendly diagnostic imaging center provides fast, accurate diagnosis by Board-certified pediatric radiologists and anesthesiologists.
