10 6210 Semi-natural dry grasslands and scrubland facies on calcareous substrates Festuco-Brometalia grasslands habitat is present in almost all EU member states. They are among the most species-rich plant communities in Europe and contain a large number of rare and endangered species. Note: According to the national list of habitats included in the 92/43/CE EU Directive (Habitats Directive), Semi-natural dry grasslands and scrubland facies on calcareous substrates (Festuco-Brometalia) (*important orchid sites) are also present in Bulgaria and Romania.

11 6220 Pseudo-steppe with grasses and annuals (Thero-Brachypodietea) The second habitat, Pseudo-steppe of Thero-Brachypodietea has a typical Mediterranean distribution, with a significant area located in Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus and Malta

34 ACTION A.3: Monitoring of butterflies population related to dry grasslands Monitoring activity was carried out to locate (pinpoint) both diurnal (such as ) both nocturnal butterflies (such as ). Also other species of community interest were recorded.
