Note: Registration by mail does not confirm your space in the program. Payment Fees are to be paid in full at the time of registration. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. Payment can be made by VISA, American Express, MasterCard, cheque, money order, debit or cash. Make cheques/money orders payable to the City of Edmonton. Please do not send cash in the mail. Cancellation Policy A full refund will be issued: If withdrawn prior to the start of the camp If cancelled by the City of Edmonton due to low number of registrations Weather Policy Many camps include outdoor activities. Children should be prepared to participate outside in any weather and have appropriate protection/clothing, such as sunscreen, rain coat, hat, boots, sunglasses, warm clothing. Outdoor activities may be cancelled due to poor weather. We cannot guarantee they will be re-scheduled. If there is severe weather, parents/guardians may be contacted to pick up their child. Sunscreen/Repellant City of Edmonton staff will NOT provide or apply sunscreen/insect repellant. Please ensure your child understands how to use/apply both products before camp begins. Staff Qualifications Our staff have completed extensive training that will allow them to offer your child a sensational summer camp experience! All staff are qualified in First Aid/CPR and have passed a Security Clearance. Before and After Care All full-day camps provide pre-camp care from 8 9 am and post-camp care from 4 5 pm. Half-day programs provide care 30 minutes before and after camp. Participants picked up after these times will be charged $10 for every 15 minutes or portion thereof. Toilet Trained We ask that all participants are fully toilet trained before attending City of Edmonton Community Summer Programs with the exception of accompanied Parented Programs. Inclusion and Medical Forms The City of Edmonton programs offered in this guide are inclusive of campers with mild to moderate disabilities. If your child has any medical or behavioural concerns, please let us know when you register. These could include allergies, medical conditions or behaviours that may require additional supervision or support. If more supervision or support is required, you may be requested to provide an Aide. Our Inclusion Coordinator will phone you and mail medical forms for you to complete. It is important we receive the forms at least one week prior to camp so that staff are able to provide appropriate support to your child. If you have not received a call from the Inclusion Coordinator before camp begins, please call To Register call 311 or online at

Community Recreation Programs give Edmontonians the chance to experience just how vibrant and welcoming the City s Neighbourhoods can be! Our Registered Day Camp Programs offer a variety of themed experiences for children aged 3 to 12. With camps hosted by Community Leagues across the City, there s bound to be an exciting and engaging program close by. As well as the opportunity to make new friends close to home, other benefits of City of Edmonton Community Summer Day Camps are: enthusiastic, trained camp leaders fun and engaging activities, offered in a safe and caring environment a variety of different themes the chance to learn new games and skills programs for a wide variety of ages the opportunity to connect with the community and your neighbours The City of Edmonton values recreation opportunities that build community by: Fostering Healthy and Active Lifestyles Fostering life long learners and leaders Being inclusive of all citizens Being in local neighbourhoods and communities Program Categories All City of Edmonton Community Summer Day Camps offer a variety of different activities. Each camp has a different focus but, whichever program you choose, you can be sure of a fun and lively experience, filled with games and opportunities for active play. Arts and Crafts Cooking Drama, Dance, and Music Science and Nature Sports and Fitness Imaginative Play Summer Program Staff You will see many different City of Edmonton staff in our Community Programs this summer. Everyone plays a slightly different role so, to help you understand who does what, our staff will be wearing different coloured shirts. Please feel free to stop by and chat with any of them. They are all happy to answer your questions about City of Edmonton Community Summer programs. Red Shirts: Staff in Red Shirts are Program Supervisors. They are responsible for working with our staff to ensure that summer programs meet City of Edmonton standards. Each program is visited by their Coordinator at least once a week so it s likely that you will see them talking with our staff regularly during the summer. Blue Shirts: Staff in Blue Shirts are Children s Program Leaders. You ll see them leading games, crafts and other activities in Registered Camps, Green Shack Playground Programs and Water Play Sites. Orange Shirts: Staff in Orange Shirts are Youth Program Leaders. You ll find them at our Youth Drop-in Sites and Skateboard Parks. Allergy Awareness A growing number of participants have serious food allergies.
