4 Insulation Blanket Mounts The retainer is pushed through the blanket. It can be unscrewed for blanket removal. Receptacle Designed for multiple insulation blanket removal cycles without replacing mounting components Adhesive is applied to this surface. Self actuating pressure sensitive fixture holds the mount in position while the adhesive cures. This unique system is made of high temperature thermoplastic components. The permanently adhered receptacle is available in various lengths to mate with the blanket retainer that is also available in different screw lengths. This system will accommodate blanket thickness from.50 to 4.00 inches and is heat resistant to 350Þ F. The receptacle has an integral installation fixture that holds it in place during bonding and eliminates the need for specialized tooling during the assembly process. There is also an optional self-piercing pilot for the receptacle to allow precise blanket hole location. Patches Wet Wing Repair System This approved system is developed specifically for quick repair of leaks in fueled aircraft wings, pressure vessels and floats. Flat patches are available for sealing flush fasteners or structure. Hat patches are available for sealing protruding style fasteners. Patches are available in aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, composites, and rubber. Diameters up to 2.00 inches are available. Adhesives and Dispensers Click Bond offers acrylic and epoxy adhesives and sealants appropriate for bonding fasteners and patches. Easy to use pre-proportioned adhesive packet or cartridge systems are available. Mixing tips for the cartridges provide consistent mixing and limit exposure to adhesive material. Pneumatic dispensing tools reduce operator hand fatigue.

Labor studies show that adhesive bonded nutplates require only 20% of the time needed to install riveted nutplates. An Installation Process For Optimum Efficiency The disposable installation fixture provided with each nutplate assures a perfect alignment while controlling the adhesive bondline and protecting the threads. The fixtures also act as a paint mask to keep the threads free of paint. Bonded nutplates can be installed in thinner structure than riveted nutplates, allowing weight reduction. These parts are excellent for repairs. They accommodate oversized fasteners holes and Apply the adhesive to the baseplate. Pull the fixture through the hole in substrate. After the adhesive has cured, remove the fixture from the nutplate and discard. can be bonded over previously drilled rivet holes. The nuts conform to Mil-N and various industry specifications. The fixture is critical to achieving consistent performance with structural adhesives by allowing accurate location, eliminating trapped air, controlling bondline thickness and maintaining positive joint pressure as the structural adhesive cures. The fixtures allow application to vertical or inverted surfaces. Adhesive bonded studs, standoffs and cable tie mounts reduce installation costs, prevent leaks, eliminate corrosion and fatigue, reinforce the attachment area, and provide weight savings. Remove the Peel Ply from the foam pads and discard. Apply adhesive to the fastener base. The Disposable Fixturing Process The Self- Fixturing Process Remove peel ply from foam pad. Allow adhesive to cure. Apply adhesive to fastener base. Press fastener into place on substrate. Locate fixture on the substrate using a template or by aligning index marks with the centerline. Press down on the outer box to adhere foam tape to the surface. After the adhesive has cured, remove the Press down on fixture by grasping inner box to actuate fixture.
