Use the Notes column next to each task to pencil in details and the date you want to have it completed. Once accomplished, 2 tick off each task in the Done column. Don t panic if you have 3 less than 12 months to organise your wedding start working through the list and assign your own deadlines. If you find items listed 4 that aren t relevant to your wedding, just cross them off. Use the spare lines to jot down any extra tasks. Buy wedding rings. * Check out Jewellers at Order guest gifts (favours). Book wedding-night accommodation. Select a song for the first dance. Four months before Discuss menu options with caterer. * Check out Caterers at Discuss details of the service with ceremony officiant. Buy wedding gifts for each other. Buy wedding gifts for wedding party. To follow tradition, choose something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue to wear. Choose readings for the ceremony. Write vows (if you choose to have your own). Organise time off work for your honeymoon. Check marriage-licence requirements. Two months before Post invitations (you have notified overseas guests earlier). Post a wedding announcement in your local newspaper. Have a hair trial with your headpiece and veil. 4 One month before Confirm honeymoon-accommodation and flight bookings. Finalise seating plan for reception. Organise bridal party s final fitting (with accessories). Confirm that groom s and groomsmen s outfits are ready. Finalise wedding-rehearsal arrangements. Finalise menu. Finalise order of events for ceremony and reception. Ask your father and the best man to prepare speeches. Write your own speech. Two weeks before Have final dress fitting. Try on your outfit (including lingerie, veil and accessories). Confirm guest numbers with reception venue and caterer. Write place cards. Practise walking around in wedding shoes at home. Organise a house-sitter for when you re on honeymoon.
