1 Job Title: Business Development Consultant Job Grade: Band 4 Directorate: Job Reference Number: Schools, Children and Families P01506 The Role To provide marketing and sales of web based Target Tracker products, including developing plans, finding new business and developing existing markets To develop marketing strategies and literature for the web based Target Tracker products aimed at the educational market. Job Purpose The Target Tracker team produces, sells and supports a range of web based products used in schools and Local Authorities. As Business Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for the design and delivery and implementation of the marketing strategy for the Target Tracker Web-based programs. You will work with the Project Manager and Business Development Manager to ensure campaigns are based on clear baseline research. You will be expected to liaise with individual schools, local clusters and Local Authorities to increase the customer base and manage the renewal of existing contracts. Key Accountabilities Provide a first class level of service to all of our customers through: Promoting and selling the full range of Target Tracker products in order to meet sales targets as set out in their performance management Liaising with schools, local clusters and Local Authorities to bring in new customers, subscriptions and renew existing contracts Organising the design, printing, delivery and use of promotional literature and advertising for web based products Organising, booking and attending relevant conferences and exhibitions Delivering training on Governance based products Ensuring that enquiries are responded to in adherence to, all internal and external service levels and targets

2 Have a thorough knowledge of Target Tracker software and be able to conduct a needs analysis on client groups to ensure that the correct products are provided and recommended to match their needs. Providing technical support in the office by investigating and diagnosing technical problems that arise and help to find solutions Knowledge, Skills and Experience 5 GCSE and 2 A levels (or equivalent), plus a degree or relevant experience Knowledge of UK education systems A thorough knowledge of pupil assessment tracking; school self evaluation and school governance Understanding of the School Performance management process Proven customer services skills and the ability to deal with our knowledgeable software user base An understanding of marketing and selling in the education sector Proven track record in selling subscription Web based software. Experience of show-casing Software at large and small exhibitions. The ability to work to (and meet) targets and deadlines Previous experience of using online CRM systems Experience of using Microsoft Office products appropriately Ability to work in a dedicated team Experience of using telephone for technical support and sales Use of remote working software for demonstrations and technical help Values and Behaviours Passionate - about achieving results Constantly strives to do an excellent job for the Council Learns from mistakes Is professional and positive Takes responsibility for monitoring and achieving own targets Responsive - to customers needs Listens and responds to every customer in ways that show courtesy, respect and understanding of their individual needs
