With over 80 fitness class offerings, public swims and skates, gymnasium activities, senior centre and much more you re sure to find something that is perfect for you! Did you know? Pool admission includes GST. Schedules are subject to change and do change on stat holidays. 7 Year Rule: An adult must closely supervise children (within arms reach) that are less than 7 years old while in all areas of the facility. MRC waterslide and waves will be operational during times that are highlighted above and may be turned on at other times depending on pool activity levels. Lesson Assessment: We recommend a free skill assessment before registering for swim lessons. Come to any leisure swim and we will evaluate your child in the water and recommend the appropriate level. Please change your child in the appropriate change rooms; keeping in mind the Family change rooms are designed for those with special needs and parents with children of the opposite gender that are 5yrs of age and older. Sunday Morning Family Swim Join us at ARC on Sunday morning from 11am - 12pm for our $2 Family Swim. The pool is ready for you and your kids to enjoy some quality family time playing on the pool toys or practicing their swimming skills for lessons. Public Swimming Drop-in Programs Adult Swim This time is set aside for adults to enjoy lengths and quiet time. AquaFit This class incorporates a variety of cardio and strength exercises that are sure to get your heart pumping! Add 12 times the resistance of air and the result is a high quality cardiovascular workout! The perfect exercise for increasing cardiovascular fitness and core strength! A challenging workout utilizing the resistance of the water and a variety of equipment to make the workout more intense. Family Swim These times are set aside for families, come in and enjoy the pool toys and equipment. KFS - Kids Fun Swim Join us for games, float on mats and just have fun! Leisure Swim Everyone welcome. Enjoy these relaxing times to swim lengths, soak in the swirl pool or relax in the sauna. Toonie Family Swim/ $2 per person in your family. All admissions become regular price 15 min. before end of swim time. Parent & Tot Swim This time is during scheduled swim lessons and includes only the Tots pool for parents and children under the age of 7 years. (Parents must be in the water with their children). A great opportunity to practice your badminton skills in a fun, social environment just for seniors! Adult Weight Room Orientation Let us take you on a tour of our weight room! The 30 minute weight room orientation will help you become familiar with the weight room setting and all we have to offer. Teen Weight Room Orientation With the successful completion of this weight room training program teens are able to access the weight without adult supervision. Join our certified BCRPA/CFES weight trainers for this safe, supervised educational session. This program takes place every other Wednesday at ARC, and alternates every Friday night between ARC and MRC. See page 34 for specific times and dates. Teen Fitness Workshops Get into the gym and work on your fitness! Not sure how to train for the specific fitness goals? Our fitness trainers can take you through a two hour small group training workshop to ensure you have the training techniques you need to succeed.
