Please make the reservations at the reception before on the day before the excursion. Please note that some of the programmes are independent and some of the programmes may require equipment rental which is not included in the price. At the reception you can order a packed lunch. We reserve the right to changes. Monday Visit at Husky farm / Lapland Safaris At We travel by bus to the husky farm where a speedy dog sled ride takes you to the snowy sceneries of Lapland. After the ride, we hear stories about huskies and enjoy hot juice. Return by bus to the Safari club. The excursion is suitable also for children. 2 Nordic walking and village tour At Our Holiday Host guides you to the secrets of Nordic walking. We get acquainted with the technique of Nordic walking and do a tour in the village; the length of the route is about 2 km. The excursion is suitable also for children (min. age 7 years). (We recommend this trip for persons over 12 years of age). Come and join us in a snowshoe excursion in wintry sceneries. After we have put snowshoes on and taken poles in hands, we will head towards the surroundings of Levi. On the way, the guide will tell about Lappish life and people. Wednesday Excursion to Snow Village / Lapland Safaris At Come and join us to the kingdom of snow and ice. After we have arrived Lainio Snow Village, you are welcome to a big igloo made of snow which hides inside beautifully decorated rooms, an ice bar and a snow restaurant. Our guide shows you the village that is completely made of snow and tells you how it was built. Before returning to Levi, you will have an opportunity to look around and admire the Snow Village. Please note that winter outfit is not included in the price so dress in warm clothes. 5 Levi Ski School weekly programme for the whole season Places we recommend for a visit: Maria s Chapel As early as in 1945, the parish district of Sirkka village organised a fundraising to build their own village chapel or prayer house. Finally in 1998, Maria s Chapel was opened in Sirkka. The altar crucifix was purchased with the original purse of In the bell tower of the chapel, there is a children s bell donated by our hotel which you can ring by hand. The chapel is open every day at Activities for children in Levi A fun playground right next to the Front slope, the sledge hill and daily activities guarantee a nice day outdoors. Levi Express Gondola Lift By a gondola lift you can fast and easily reach the summit where the Congress & Exhibition Centre Levi Summit is located. Levi Summit A Congress & Exhibition Centre on the top of the front side of the fell. There is also a 3D cinema in the centre. Samiland Samiland, located in Levi Summit, includes an indoor exhibition (500m2) and an outdoor exhibition (10 000m2), which present the history and present day of the European Union s only indigenous people, the Sami. The Reidar Särestöniemi Museum In the museum, you can visit Reidar Särestöniemi s birthplace, atelier and gallery. There is also a café in connection to the museum. Open Tue to Sat at Distance to Särestöniemi is about 50 km one way.
