2 INFORMATION ABOUT THE MAGAZINE 1 Since 1993, that is from its first issue, Handel has described changes, indicated trendsand directions in the development of FMCG business. For many years the magazine has been holding a high position in the segment of trade press. It accompanies retailers and wholesalers in their everyday work, providing them with essential information and advice about how to compete in a fast-developing market successfully. In January 2010, following consultation with our readers and clients, Handel was given a new attractive graphic design. Currently, as a magazine with an issue of copies, it focuses on a strongly fragmented traditional channel. Recently, accompanies retailers who have decided to join the franchise network (so-called soft franchise).

4 MERITS 3 The substantial content of the magazine has remained on the top level from the very beginning of its existence on the market. Each issue of Handel contains information about current national and international trade events, the most modern methods and tools in management, trade companies strategies, legal provisions and regulations in retail trade, interviews with people who create the image of Polish FMCG business. We inform about novelties which are being introduced on the market, we publish market analysis of food and nonfood products, special reports and articles about technologies and trends in store equipment. Handel is also a reading piece for Polish manufacturers and distributors of FMCG goods.

5 DISTRIBUTION 4 Handel is a monthly with an issue of copies. As many as pieces are direct-mailed to readers by the Polis Postal Service and In Post. The receivers are the owners and managers of independent retail stores within FMCG business around the country. It does not mean that we have left behind the modern channel, but due to its channel nature, Handel has been sent to managing companies and purchasing centers instead of individual network stores. The other copies are distributed by Eurocash network. The issue and distribution remain under control of the Union for the Control of Press Distribution. According to Gfk Polonia data at the beginning of 2010 there were operating small format stores, of which 79% were independent stores. 7 EQUIP MY STORE PROGRAM 6 Handel since February 2010 has been the organizer of a very popular contest called Equip my store. The second edition of the program was under the sponsorship of among others: Polskie Radio PiK and Naszemiasto.pl, Super Express, Dziennik Bałtycki, Dziennik Łódzki, Gazeta Lubuska, Gazeta Wrocławska, Kurier Lubelski. 8 PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 7 Product of the Year. Consumer Choice is a marketing program oriented toward producers and distributors of FMCG business products. The program consists of two elements: a great study of the Polish consumers' opinion on new or innovative FMCG products as well as the title and logo which can be used by the producers in marketing communication of the products recognized as the best in their categories.
