MARINE WEATHER SERVICES SAFETY FIRST FROM PERSON TO PERSON
Our personality in every single forecast... Navimeteo operates 24/7 worldwide. We analyse national and international official weather sources in order to better assist numerous shipping companies, yachts, super yachts, harbours, marinas and to supervise extremely complicated maritime operations. We provide our Clients with accurate weather consultancy services such as weather routing on demand, detailed voyage reports, customised weather panels, advanced weather warnings and other related services on request. Navimeteo also keeps practical courses on applied marine meteorology for Sailors, Captains and Fleet Managers. The year-long professional experience of the Navimeteo Forecasting Team covers all technical aspects of sea navigation, making sure that safety always comes first. Besides supporting coastal and offshore navigation and activities, Navimeteo co-operates with the Maritime Authorities and important companies dealing with communication technology, developing specific solutions for weather routing and satellite tracking to enhance forecasting accuracy for safety at sea. The most modern thing is Two persons talking to Each other... NAVIMETEO YACHTING for Sailors & Captains of Yachts & Super Yachts, Sailing Vessels. The best routing options are studied and proposed to the Captain, suggesting the best possible navigation plan together with weather warnings in case of bad weather approaching. Navimeteo provides 24/7 worldwide coverage with direct support via phone and mail, including weather charts and useful forecast notes. A specific service is provided by Navimeteo for any Ocean Passage
SHIPPING for Cruise Ships & Commercial Vessels. Optimal marine weather and route advisory which also attempts to reduce transit time by avoiding the adverse conditions which may be encountered by a vessel. Particular attention nowadays is also focused on extreme events as typhoons, hurricanes and strong gales Track changes known as diversions are recommended for route optimisation by the Navimeteo forecasters, in particularly heavy or critical situation to take advantage of more favourable wind and sea conditions. NAVIMETEO PORT for Harbour Masters, Ports or Cruise Terminal Personnel, Harbours, Marinas, Yacht Clubs Careful port weather monitoring with particular attention to wind and local phenomena, in order to timely report weather conditions to the ship and port operations. Detailed and customised port forecasts on demand for safe manoeuvre. Interactive weather systems, with integrated weather stations for port authorities and marinas.
MARITIME WORKS for Inshore and Offshore, Weather Monitoring. Consultancy for the maritime industry with forecasting and weather chart-based decision supporting system which gives a major contribution to weather sensitive operations and helps the client determine the best time gaps to work safely. On request a personalised control panel can be provided to check the detailed weather information, based on the operational requirements of the client. NAVIMETEO PILOT for Boaters and Coastal Navigation Detailed local weather lookup for a safe day at sea, always connected to our weather centre. This service is the solution studied for daily navigation close to the coast. Due to the complex orography, weather along the coasts can change rapidly and the forecasts provided are integrated with real time observations.
ACADEMY Training for Captains & Officers Maritime Workers, Port Operators, Office Managers, Sailors, Maritime Personnel. Practical and customised weather courses are managed to teach and allow participants to rapidly acquire a good understanding of marine weather phenomena and to refine their capacity to interpret and analyse weather information. Methods and contents are always based on the clients needs. A good Mariner can't change the weather but he knows when it's the right moment to change route.
TEAM OUR PERSONALITY IS AN ADDED VALUE Navimeteo is a marine weather centre with the headquarters in Chiavari, Italy. We started our operational activities in the Mediterranean Sea in 1989 while today we follow more than 500 vessels worldwide and serve more than 50 of the most prestigious marinas daily. Our services have a global coverage. We analyse national and international official weather sources to efficiently assist numerous shipping companies, yachts, super yachts, harbours and marinas and to supervise extremely complicated maritime operations. We provide our clients with accurate weather consultancy services such as weather routing on demand, detailed voyage reports, customised weather panels, advanced weather warnings and other weather related services on request. Navimeteo also delivers practical courses on applied marine meteorology for Sailors, Captains and Fleet Managers. Several hundreds of naval units have chosen the Navimeteo service on a yachting and as well as on a professional level The operational method of Navimeteo service allows the mariner to be constantly followed during his navigation. The modern communication and positioning systems also make it possible to interact from the yachts to Navimeteo service even in open sea. The position of the unit in navigation is updated by Navimeteo operators by each contact, as knowledge of its position and the route are basic factors for the transmission of the local weather conditions. The operators keep a log of the client s routes showing the information needed for the personalisation of the service, such as dimensions and type of the unit, speed, experience of the crew etc.
