3 Items Needed 1. Static IP address for VoIP Phone 2. IP address of SIP Server and Authentication ID 3. PC with Network Interface Card v or 12v battery backed up power source Wireless Set-Up 1. Connect WAN Port of Wireless Module to PC using Ethernet cable 2. Change computer IP Address a. Navigate to Control Panel b. Navigate to Network Settings c. Change IP to default IP address range of Wireless Module (recommended is ) d. Change Subnet Mask (default is ) 3. Turn off wireless card on computer (if applicable) 4. Log into Wireless Module a. Enter into web browser (Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is recommended) b. Log in to Wireless Module LOGIN: admin PASSWORD: admin 5. Change IP Address a. Click Network under the menu options on left hand side b. Click LAN under Network c. Change IP address of wireless unit to be in same network group as wireless router d. Set the Default Gateway to match the router s IP address 6. Change Computer IP Address to match new Wireless Unit IP a. Navigate to Control Panel b. Navigate to Network Settings c. Change IP to new IP address range of Wireless Module d. Change Subnet Mask to new Subnet Mask of Wireless 7. Log into Wireless Module a. Enter new IP address of Wireless Module into web browser (Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is recommended) b. Log in to Wireless Module LOGIN: admin PASSWORD: admin pg. 2

4 8. Modify System Settings a. Click System under the menu options on left hand side b. Click Operation under System c. Select Client Bridge and click Apply d. Click Wireless under the menu options on left hand side e. Click Basic under Wireless f. Click on Site Survey and select your wireless network g. Click to add to AP Profile h. Enter password for wireless network (if applicable) and click Save i Click Wireless and select AP Profile j. Check box next to preferred network and click Connect VoIP Phone Set-Up 1. Connect LAN Port of VoIP Phone to PC using Ethernet cable 2. Change computer IP address a. Navigate to Control Panel b. Navigate to Network Settings c. Change IP to default IP address range of VoIP Phone (recommended is ) d. Change Subnet Mask (default is ) 3. Turn off wireless card on computer (if applicable) 4. Log into VoIP Phone a. Enter into web browser (Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is recommended) b. Log in to IP Interface LOGIN: Admin PASSWORD: Navigate to VoIP Phone a. Click Basic Settings under the menu options on left hand side b. Click Region under Basic Settings 6. Set Region Settings a. Set the CPTG to USA/Canada b. Set the Ring to USA/Canada c. Set time zone to corresponding time zone d. Click Submit pg. 3

5 VoIP Phone Set-Up (Continued) 7. Modify SIP Settings a. Under Basic Settings Click SIP b. Check box next to SIP Trunk to enable SIP Trunk c. Change SIP Trunk Mode to Proxy d. Enter SIP ID for extension Note: It will be the same as information on SIP Server e. Create Authentication ID Note: It will be the same as information on SIP Server f. Create authentication password g. Enter Register Server address (IP address of SIP Server) h. Click Submit Note: Address for VoIP Phone must be on the same network as SIP Server 8. Modify FXS Settings a. Navigate to FXS under Basic Settings b. Check Enable box next to SIP FXS Port c. Insert SIP extension in Name d. Enter device number for SIP ID in Number blank e. Click on the arrow under the second box (this will expand more programming options) f. Under Class of Service only Attendant Transfer, Conference, Call Forward, and Blink Transfer should be selected g. Under Advanced and Disconnect Signaling, select Open Loop Disconnect h. The Open Loop Disconnect timer should be set for 600msec 9. Change Network Settings a. Click Network Under Basic Settings b. Verify Routing Mode is in NAT c. Set the WAN IP address to Static d. Set the IP address e. Set the Subnet Mask f. Set the Default Gateway g. Click Submit 10. When window pops up asking to restart IP Interface, click OK 11. Wait 5 minutes for changes to take effect pg. 4

6 Connecting Device to Network 1. Connect WAN port of Wireless Module to WAN port of IP Interface 2. Turn wireless card of computer back on 3. Connect computer to the same wireless network being used for the WiFi VoIP Phone 4. Open Command Prompt 5. Ping IP Address of the Wireless Moudle on the VoIP Phone 6. If Ping successful, plug analog phone into FXS port and place a test call 7. After successful test call, 2100 Phone can be plugged in and is ready for programming Programming the Phone: Step 1. Begin Program Mode A. Press Enter Step 2. Program Emergency Numbers A. Press 1, Enter, (Phone Number), Stop To program numbers 2-5, repeat Step 2A Example: To program Emergency Number 2, Press 2, Enter, (Phone Number), Stop Step 3. Program Location Message Key Pad A. To turn on message Press 1, 3, Enter, 2 B. Press 6, Record, (Wait for the Beep, Speak Message), Stop (to replay message, press 6, Play/Pause) C. Program frequency of message Press 1, 3, Enter, 0= Turn message off 1= Plays message (1) time 2= Plays message (2) times (default) 3= Plays message until receiving party presses * on their phone Step 4. To Exit Program Mode A. Press Stop for 3 seconds Optional Programming Features Phone Line Check (Default is 10 minutes) Keypad: Press 3, 4, Enter, (4 Digit Number in HH:MM) To turn off press: 2 3 Enter Enter Enter 2 Remote: Press 3, 4, *, (4 Digit Number in HH:MM) To turn off press: 2 3 * * * 2 Example: 20 Minutes = 0020; 10 Hours = 1000 pg. 5

7 Adjusting the Volume: If the volume is too low or high, adjust it by referring to the diagram and instructions below. Rath SmartPhone Volume Adjust VR1 Mic Sensitivity VR2 Adjusting the Microphone: If the person you are calling reports your voice is not loud enough, increase the Microphone Sensitivity by adjusting VR2 ¼ turn clockwise (requires a small Phillips screwdriver). Adjusting the Speaker: If the voice of the person you call is not loud enough in the phone speaker, increase the volume by adjusting VR1 ¼ turn clockwise. Testing of the Phone: Push the silver emergency button to activate phone: Did you hear a dial tone? Did red LED become a solid light when you pushed the button? Did red LED flash and someone started talking to you? Could you hear the other party clearly? (If no, see Adjust Speaker section above) Could the other party hear you clearly? (If no, see Adjust Microphone section above) If you have answered YES to all questions, you have successfully installed and tested your new emergency phone. Yes No pg. 6

8 Troubleshooting: Problem No dial tone when the button is pushed: Audio is low from the speaker: Audio is distorted from the speaker: Possible Cause & Fixes Called party says audio is low: When called party hangs up, call stays connected: Phone appears nonfunctional.
