3 POWERFUL, FAST, MODULAR CVB as a strategic choice Common Vision Blox is built on a philosophy that it should be easy to change between acquisition devices for an imaging application. CVB supports a wide range of acquisition standards such as USB3 Vision, GigE Vision and also GenICam Transport Layers. There are specific drivers for frame grabbers for acquisition from CameraLink, CoaXPress, CameraLink HS, LVDS and analog image sources. CVB is modular and has an open image format, making it easy to incorporate other libraries with CVB. The support of Windows and Linux, Intel and ARM platforms makes CVB a good choice for OEMs looking for an imaging software platform to develop their own products CVB as an acquisition engine CVB drivers are available for both Teledyne DALSA's Sherlock and Cognex's VisionPro software allowing them to benefit from CVB's highly-optimized and wide-ranging acquisition capabilities, opening both software packages to a vast array of cameras. CVB GigE Vision Server allows a PC or an embedded system to act as a GigE Vision-compliant camera with freelydefinable features. CVB Polimago allows the detection and classification of objects with variable appearance. This can include 'pose estimation' (e.g. for pick and place), object tracking and classification of variable targets such as organic products. This unique tool enables applications that were previously impossible. Polimago's ability to cope with variable targets opens opportunities in the food and agriculture sectors.
