DECREES The LEADERSHIP IN GLOCAL ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN - ONSITE ONLINE level II Specializing Master is instituted and activated for the years 2015/2016. ART. 1 Characteristics of the Master The LEADERSHIP IN GLOCAL ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN - ONSITE ONLINE level II Specializing Master is instituted and activated at the Department of Architecture, built environment and construction engineering. The administrative seat of this Specializing Master is located at the CIS-E Consortium-Politecnico di Milano. The Specializing Master Director is prof. Cecilia Maria Bolognesi. The School of reference is the School of Architectural Engineering, and the contact person is prof. Marco Muscogiuri. The Board of this Specializing Master course is composed by the following professors of the Politecnico di Milano Cecilia Maria Bolognesi, Marco Muscogiuri, Alberto Franchi, Paola Ronca, Giuseppe Marinoni, Angelo Lucchini, Stefano Guidarini, Emilio Faroldi, dr Pietro Giuseppe Crespi, dr. Giovanni Franchi, dr Alessandro Zichi, Vilma Cernikite visiting professor, by Andrea Carlesso- architect MAARCH, prof. Todd Falkowsky of the Ocad University (Toronto), prof. Mauro Parravicini of the TU DEFLT, prof. Luis Raul Moysén Mason of the ITESM (Messico). ART. 2 Training objective and job opportunities The Masters course is aimed at: -conceiving and planning new industrialized components (building design) starting from the Made in Italy experience, hybridized with the new global technologies (HIGHT) and the local cultures of the different countries (SLOW). - starting principles of brand management, applying them also to that distribution chain of architecture and building which shares the way of the industrialization of the project, those principles that constituted the success abroad of the Made in Italy campaign in the field of Design, Fashion, and Food. Core arguments are themes related to the development of a working style in architecture and building design: Developing the System/Product, Branding it and creating a Business Strategy. Workshops are project assignments that give students a working knowledge of different core subjects. Each workshop starts with the presentation of the theme defined by the faculty in collaboration with external industrial partners. Students will be supported by lectures on a specific project theme, involving professionals, researchers and representatives

2 of companies. Each workshop culminates in an 4-5 month Internship, and the final thesis presentation will follow. ART. 3 Didactic contents and activities organization This Specializing Master will start in November 2015 and will end in November With an increasingly competitive environment, the creative professional and creative industries have to keep up with the new frontiers of innovation. This is particularly true in the field of Architecture, a discipline which is intimately linked to the human being, there is a need to understand that building spaces for humans and society are linked to a clear understanding of how humans behave, how people develop habits and how these attitudes vary from country to country. This is the way Architecture should respond depending on cultural issues. The italian way of managing pre-existence like towns, historical architecture or memory in design process is one of the cornerstone of the entire course. The program is organized in many modules that include lectures, workshops, internships and final thesis: Lectures provide students with the appropriate tools and experiences for the development of their professional career The course is held in English The didactics are articulated as follows:

3 ART. 4 Admission requirements This Specializing Master is reserved for candidates with a Master of Science in Engineering, Architecture and similar scientific disciplines. As for candidates who graduated abroad, equivalent study titles in the respective educational institutions will be considered. The Admissions Board will select the students to be accepted. The number of admitted students is 30. ART. 5 Formal fulfillments The Master application must be submitted starting from the day following the date of this Decree and within the 16 th of October, Italian/foreign students with study title achieved in Italy Specializing Master application on unstamped paper with auto certifications related to: Personal identity (last and first name, date and place of birth, nationality and residence); Study title achieved and a certificate reporting the marks obtained in each exam; Short academic and professional resume'; Copy of an identity document. * Italian/E.U. citizens with study title obtained abroad Specializing Master Application on unstamped paper containing: Auto certification of the personal identity (last and first name, date and place of birth, nationality and residence) Copy of the study title achieved and a certificate reporting the marks obtained in each exam (at matriculation time the original title with official translation in Italian, legalization and letter of Academic Eligibility and Suitability, countersigned by the cognizant Italian Embassy or Consulate - in the country of issue - will have to be submitted). Short resume' reporting the work and professional experience of the candidate. Copy of the identity document. The application will have to report the following statement: "I authorize the Politecnico di Milano to use my personal data in compliance with D.Lgs. n. 196 of ". 4 Non E.U. foreign citizens residing abroad will have to submit: Specializing Master Application on unstamped paper Copy of the passport, from which the nationality can be deduced. Copy of the University degree in original language. Translation of the University degree in Italian (as an alternative, the translation can be in English, French or Spanish). A short resume reporting the work and professional experience of the candidate. Transcript reporting the passed exams in original language. Translation of the transcript in Italian (as an alternative, the translation can be in English, French or Spanish). The entire documentation must be sent to the Politecnico di Milano: master@polimi.it fax: +39/ Servizio Offerta Formativa e Post Laurea Master e Corsi di perfezionamento P.zza Leonardo da Vinci Milano within the deadline of this announcement, in compliance with the note of MIUR n.602 of The "Servizio Offerta Formativa e Post Laurea Master e Corsi di perfezionamento", once it receives the students application to the admission test, will check that the students will actually attend the test and will communicate the result to the cognizant Agencies for the certification of the documentation required for the enrolment in the Master course, that will take place only if the candidates pass the admission test and to issue the National Stay Permit (longer than 90 days). Non E.U. citizens residing in Italy can personally hand-in the above listed documentation. MATRICULATION REQUIREMENTS: STUDY TITLE OBTAINED IN ITALY The students admitted to the Masters Program must submit their enrolment form using the specific form provided, with a duty stamp. The achievement of the academic title in Italy can be self-certified filling in the space reserved for this purpose in the enrolment form. NON U.E. citizens must submit a copy of the stay permit in addition to the above mentioned documentation. STUDY TITLE OBTAINED ABROAD The students admitted to the Masters Program must submit the enrolment form using the form prepared for this purpose, with the required duty stamp. The achievement of the academic title must be documented by submitting: Letter of Academic Eligibility and Suitability ( Dichiarazione di valore in loco ), countersigned by the cognizant Italian Embassy or Italian Consulate in the country of issue on original letterhead paper with stamp. Official translation of the university degree in Italian language and original notarization with stamp issued abroad by the cognizant Italian Embassy or Italian Consulate in the country of issue. Original degree or certified copy; if the student doesn t have the above mentioned university degree, he has to enclose the original Degree certificate that substitutes for the university degree.

5 In addition to the above mentioned documentation, NON EU citizens will have to submit a personal identity certificate countersigned by the cognizant Italian Embassy or Italian Consulate in the country of issue and copy of the stay permit. Students who were born in a NON EU Country but who declare, in the application form, to have an EU Country citizenship, have to attach copy of an identity document from which the declared citizenship can be deduced. A copy of the stay permit will have to be submitted if a copy of the identity document isn't submitted. In order to be admitted to the final exam of the Master, the students must submit a specific application on legal paper to the Politecnico di Milano, within 30 days before the exam date. At the end of the course, once the final exam has been passed, the students with a foreign study title must personally pick up the original study title at the " Servizio Offerta Formativa e Post Laurea - Master " of the Politecnico di Milano, upon submission of a specific request to the office at least one week before the foreseen pick-up date. The copy of the academic title conformed to the original won't be returned. The non-collected study titles will be mailed under the students responsibility. ART. 6 Title and acknowledgements ISSUED CERTIFICATION At the end of the course, after passing the final exam, the "Leadership in glocal architectural design" II level Specializing Master diploma will be issued in English. STUDENTS' OBLIGATIONS Attendance to the activities foreseen by this Master is mandatory for at least 75% of the course. Withdraw from the course must be put in writing. The training period cannot be suspended for any reason. It is not possible to be matriculated in a Specializing Master and in another study course of an Italian University at the same time. EVALUATION METHOD Evaluation tests and a final exam are foreseen. The final exam will consist in the presentation and discussion of a written work developed during the Master course. The total cost of the course is ,00. The cost of the course is divided into: ART. 7 Taxes and contributions - enrolment tax to the Politecnico di Milano 500,00 per student; - Master enrolment fee, equal to 9.500,00 per student. The amount ,00 can be divided into installments: - -1 st installment 6.000,00 within 27/10/2015-2nd installment 4.000,00 within 31/03/2016 The total cost of the course is 3.500,00 for those students who will attend the course on-line. The cost of the course is divided into: - enrolment tax to the Politecnico di Milano 500,00 per student; - Master enrolment fee, equal to 3.000,00 per student. The amount 3.500,00 can be divided into installments: - -1 st installment 2.000,00 within 27/10/2015

6 - 2nd installment 1.500,00 within 31/03/2016 The enrolment tax to the Politecnico di Milano won't be refunded under any circumstances. ART. 8 Financial aid 5-10 financial aid (3500 ) are provided by the Board of the Specializing Master. More contributions are given also by some companies offering the internship. These contributions shall be agreed between the School and the companies that provide internships.
