1 W E L C O M E T O Maidstone Roller Hockey Club The Sport Roller Hockey is a fast-paced team sport played on quad skates. It is similar to ice hockey, but with less physical contact and more emphasis on skill. Whilst originating in England in 1906, it has become a sport dominated by Countries in mainland Europe, such as Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. The game is played with wooden sticks, a ball, 4 outfield players and a goalkeeper. It s incredibly quick and enjoyable to watch and play. There are local, regional and national teams, providing lots of opportunity for progression for talented players. The Club Maidstone Roller Hockey club first played on Christmas Eve 1973 at the old YMCA in Loose. The club developed strongly throughout the 70 s and 80 s to become of the dominant forces in the sport. The club reformed in 2011, after the YMCA was rebuilt, and has rapidly returned to it s former glory, competing at U9, U11, U13, U15 and Senior level this season. has experienced significant successes already, and this season will finish first or second in every league and competition we have entered. The club is lucky to have many talented players, including several who are either playing, or competing for a place, in the England team. We are hoping to find sponsorship partners to help us continue to grow and develop the club, bringing this exciting sport to more players in Maidstone and surrounding areas. Get Involved!

2 Club initiatives Maidstone Roller Hockey Club is half way through an ambitious 3-year strategy to grow and develop the club, and the sport, in Maidstone. Growth Maidstone is an established club with a great history. Our goal for next season is to bring the sport to local schools in order to grow the club from the grass roots. Working with the National Roller Hockey Association, we will be delivering a roller hockey introductory lesson as part of the national curriculum. Competition As the club continues to grow at all levels, we will strive to find more competitions for players of all abilities. Opportunities This will require networking with more clubs around the UK, and more travel! Roller Hockey provides opportunities for players of all levels and abilities. In the last year alone, our players have travelled around the UK, France and Portugal to play, as well as representing England, the pinnacle for any sportsperson. are committed to providing as many life experiences as possible for members of all ages and abilities. Community At its heart, Maidstone Roller Hockey club is a family and nurtures these relationships passionately We believe that the experience of being part of a sporting community is invaluable for young players, providing essential ethics and role models for their wider lives. Our senior players are a key part of this.

3 Fund-Raisers Squad Tracksuits New Goals Being part of a team is an important benefit of playing any sport, and our players are incredibly proud to be part of the community We would like to provide squad tracksuit style tops for all players that can be worn to training sessions, matches and tournaments. There is a good likelihood that they will be worn by players at other times too! Cost: 250 / squad 5 packages available Package will subsidize 10 tracksuit tops Given the rising popularity of the club, we had to take additional training space at Mote Park Leisure Centre, on a Tuesday evening, for our younger players. We currently use a dilapidated pair of goals that are on loan to the club, to allow this extra session. Whilst adequate, these goals are not regulation size and prone to collapsing on our keepers! A new set of goals would be a massive asset for the club, and benefit to our young players Cost: 900 Trophy Cabinet Maidstone have experienced a lot of success over recent years and our trophy collection is ready to be proudly displayed at our club HQ, The YMCA in Loose. We need to source a suitable cabinet, in light oak that is secure and fitted with safety glass to prevent any potential disasters!

4 Sponsorship Opportunities We are happy to tailor sponsorship packages to your needs Bursary fund 50+ Roller Hockey provides tremendous opportunities for the players at our club to develop as sportsmen and women, and experience success in the UK and abroad. However these opportunities always come at a cost and the bursary is accessed at the discretion of the committee to assist players with club fees, representing England and Foreign Travel. Ball Sponsor 2 x 160 pa It s hard to play hockey without hockey balls, but at 8 each they don t come cheap. Our ball sponsors ensure that we have enough to play with across all 5 junior squads, and the senior teams, at Mote Park and The YMCA. Goalie Sponsor 500 pa Without a goalie, we don t have a team! Maidstone has a history of producing quality goal-keepers, and currently has the England U20 ladies keeper and the England Vision 2020 goal keeper in the club. Keepers require protection, and a lot of it! It is the club s responsibility to provide all keepers with protective pads, shorts, chest plate, gloves, elbows etc Our Goalie Sponsor allows us to refresh this kit on an ongoing basis. Trial Kit Sponsor 3 x 500 One of the hardest challenges faced by the club is to introduce new players to the sport. It s difficult to ask parents to invest in skates (circa 300) pads and sticks until they know their son/daughter will continue to play. At the same time, it s hard to inspire players if they don t have the kit to wear. Our kit sponsors enable us to purchase quality used Roller hockey in a range of sizes to bridge this gap.

5 Further Sponsorship Information All sponsorship monies are paid to a bank account, not to individuals or families Sponsors will receive social media credits, logos on the club website and credit sin relevant publicity. Further benefits can be negotiated for individual sponsorships. The sponsorship packages detailed in this presentation are indicative, and can be tailored to suit the individual needs of the sponsor, project or players involved. Sponsorship is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The Main Shirt Sponsor will brand the match kit, as well as receiving credits in all publicity. Nothing in this proposal shall limit or exclude a party's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or the negligence of its employees, agents or subcontractors; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law. A detailed, signed, sponsorship contract will be provided to all sponsors. All sponsorship monies are to be paid in advance, in one payment. There is no VAT to be paid. Donations are used to reduce costs, or improve service delivery, for all players without discrimination. Bursary awards are made at the discretion of club trustees. They will work in partnership with the player s parent(s) or legal guardian, coaches and club representatives to ensure the appropriate use of funds. Sponsors are welcome to provide branding to be displayed at the club, as well as any other suitable promotional items, subject to venue agreement.
