1 DORSETT SHEPHERDS BUSH ACCESS STATEMENT Dorsett Shepherds Bush welcomes people with disabilities and has developed an Access Statement to address some of the more common issues that disabled people face. Recognition has been given to include guests with an impairment, which could include: Mobility, Sight, Hearing, Learning Disabilities or any hidden impairment. Dorsett Shepherds Bush understands that every guest has different needs and is committed to ensure that our hotel facilities are accessible to all of our guests and associates equally. Pre-Arrival For assistance prior to arrival please contact the reservations team on or by The hotel is located on Shepherds Bush Green, close to both Shepherds Bush Underground and Overground stations, offering easy access to Central London, Notting Hill and other must-see tourist spots in London. London Heathrow is also a 30 minute drive from the hotel. Every London bus route is wheelchair accessible, with automatic ramps and designated wheelchair spaces. The nearest stop is Shepherds Bush Green, 100m from the hotel. The nearest Tube stations are Shepherds Bush and Shepherds Bush Market, both 5 minutes walk from the hotel, with Shepherds Bush Overground station having a manual boarding ramp and a lift from the platform to the ticket hall. The closest tube station with wheelchair access is Wood Lane which is 0.4 miles away from the hotel. More information can be found here: Guide dogs are allowed in the rooms, but no other pets. The hotel has partnered with a Car Service which can offer transportation for those with mobility restrictions if required. Every effort will be made to ensure you have a comfortable visit. 2 Car Parking & Arrival The hotel offers 2 on-site disabled parking bays which can be reserved prior to arrival by calling the hotel. It is highly recommended to book these spaces in advance and there is no charge to those with a Blue Badge. The main entrance is on Shepherds Bush Green offering level, paved, access. The majority of visitors will enter the building through the main entrance, an automatic revolving door, however there is an automatic pass door either side of the main entrance, operated by way of a hand pressed press to enter/exit button for both entering and exiting, along with a ramp down to Reception. A secondary entrance is located at the side of the hotel, with level access in to the building. This entrance is the closest to the hotel drop off point, valet parking area and disabled bays. Porters are available to offer assistance at both entrances of the hotel. The reception desk is 113cm high. Registration can be completed whilst sitting and we have clipboards available upon request. The registration card can be enlarged and a hotel associate will be on hand to fill it out if required.

3 The in house restaurant, Pictures and Jin Bar are located on the ground floor and offer step free access. There are a number of sofas and comfortable chairs available in the lobby and in Jin bar. Please ask concierge for assistance if required. Public Areas There are 3 lifts in the hotel, each large enough to accommodate 1 wheelchair. All lifts have tactile buttons at standard height. Restaurant tables and chairs can be moved. Lighting levels in the restaurant are generally lower in the evenings. Menus can be enlarged upon request. Please inform us of any dietary requirements on booking or arrival. Public Toilets A unisex accessible toilet is located both on the ground floor and at basement level. They are fitted with grab rails and an alarm, along with baby changing facilities. The toilet located in the basement can be accessed via the guest lift. Separate male and female toilets can also be found in the basement. Meeting and Events The 3 meeting rooms are located on the ground floor. Bedrooms There are accessible bedrooms on floors 1-6 and all are fitted with alarms in case of emergency, located next to the bed. All of these rooms have been designed with wide entrance doors, low level light switches, power sockets by the bed, transfer space of 140cm one side of the bed. On each floor, there is at least 1 room located near the lifts. A majority of the accessible rooms have an adjacent standard room connected with an interconnecting door to an adjacent bedroom for carers and family. Two of these bedrooms are fitted with a ceiling track hoist and guests must bring their own sling if using a hoist room. Extra main sockets near the transfer side of the bed are provided for recharging electric wheelchairs.

4 Bathrooms provide level entry showers with grab rails and shower stools. A temperature safety valve has also been applied. A pull cord alarm is also fitted in case of emergency. All sockets have been positioned at a minimum height of 400mm above floor level with all switches and controls to a maximum height of 1200mm above floor level. In the event of an emergency a member of the team will assist you to a refuge point if necessary. Fire evacuation advice is provided on the back of your bedroom door. Additional Information A Recognised Assistance Dog is one which has been specifically trained to assist a disabled person and which has been qualified by one of the charitable organisations registered as members of Assistance Dogs UK. (Canine Partners, Dog A.I.D, Dogs for the Disabled, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Support Dogs, Guide Dogs, and Medical Detection Dogs). Dogs welcomed in the hotel: - Assistance dogs used for fetching and carrying people with manipulative and ambulatory impairments. - Support dogs for stress and anxiety. - Guide dogs for visually impaired and blind people - Hearing dogs used by low hearing and deaf people. Bowls can be provided for assistance dogs for food and water and there is a dog toilet at the rear of the hotel. There is no surcharge of maintenance or cleaning fee for customers with an assistance animal. A supermarket is located on Shepherds Bush Green within 500m via level access and dropped curbs. Vibrating fire pagers are available on request. For guests staying in the hotel we will ensure you are fully aware any emergency procedures and your requirements are taken into account. Small fridges are available in all bedrooms and can be used for the storage of medication.
