5 V. CARE OF THE COURSE When walking onto a green, always repair your ball mark plus one. Repair your divots on the tees and fairways. The divot should not be replaced, but please tamp around the divot mark with your foot. Please replace divots in the rough. Rake the sand bunkers after usage and carefully replace the rakes inside the sand bunkers. They will break if thrown. When removing the flag from the hole, please place the flag on the green. You may cause damage to the green if you drop or throw the flag. Confine all practice to the designated areas for practice. If your ball comes to rest on the wrong green, you must drop at the nearest point of relief plus one club length. No penalty. Do not hit off a green or fringe area. VI. DRESS CODE 1. Appropriate golf attire is required at all times on the golf courses and practice facilities for both players and spectators. Metal spiked golf shoes are not allowed on the Brookridge courses. Shoes worn on the course must be flat heeled. Golfers should wear softspike type golf shoes or tennis shoes. Denim jeans or denim shorts of any color, baggy cargo shorts, tennis skirts or short-shorts are not allowed on the golf courses. Shorts cannot be higher than 4" above the knee. Warm-up suits (such as those sold in the Golf Shop) are acceptable, but please no Sweats. Men must wear shirts with collars (mock turtlenecks and turtlenecks are allowed) and tucked in at all course facilities. Caps need to be worn in the proper fashion (forward). Ladies are not allowed to wear halter tops, swim suit tops, and other revealing clothing. Questions about appropriate golf attire can be answered by the Golf Shop. VII. TOURNAMENT PLAY 1. Tournament rules are governed by the USGA (excepting local club rules as outlined). All controversies shall be judged according to USGA regulations. 2. All tournaments, special events, or golf activities that will restrict normal play on the course must be scheduled in advance and cleared through the Director of Golf. 3. All Tournament matches must be played as scheduled by the Director of Golf. 4. Tournament matches (Club Championships) shall have right-of-way over other groups on the course. VIII. ELECTRIC CART RULES Use of golf cart requires prior registration in Golf Shop. Operation of the cart is at the risk of the operator. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN (18) IS ALLOWED TO OPERATE A GOLF CART. On the 18-hole course, all carts must be kept on the path on Par 3 s and on all areas of the course if weather conditions so warrant. In any weather, carts should be confined to the cart paths whenever possible. When leaving from and returning to the cart path remember we have a 90 degree rule. If you see an area that is getting worn, please drive up the fairway a little father and then to the cart path. On both courses, Electric carts must be kept at least 60 feet from all greens and tees. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE CARTS IN THE ROUGH

6 IX. STARTERS We use starters to maintain order on the 1st tee and to enforce golf course rules. In the interest of speeding play, if a group has fallen two holes behind, the Golf Shop personnel have the authority to require that group to skip a hole in order to catch up. As previously mentioned, please report to the Starter 10 minutes in advance of your tee time to help us maintain our pace of play. Late arrival may result in loss of your scheduled time. Some suggestions for maintaining a reasonable pace of play are: Playing 18 holes in four hours; 9 holes in two hours. Playing ready golf on the tee, in the fairway and on the green - no honors, hit when safe. Allowing the group in back of you to play through if you have an open hole in front of you and notice that they play faster than you. Twosomes and Threesomes should not expect to play through Foursomes or Fivesomes if the larger group is maintaining a reasonable pace of play. Acquainting your guests with our course and policies. Taking no more than five (5) minutes to look for your ball. This is a USGA Rule. X.ENFORCEMENT OF RULES 1. The following are considered violations of the rights of other members and may be subject to the action of the Management: Improper attire, willfully damaging Club property, conduct unbecoming a member or damaging to the prestige of the Club, driving golf carts between greens and bunkers, driving carts within 60-feet of the bunkers or the greens, careless or improper use of Club equipment, and willful abuse of any Club rule. 2. Violations of any of the rules will result in Management action: First Violation - A letter or warning sent to the offender. Second Violation Suspension. Third Violation - Subject to expulsion. 3. Suspension will occur, if considered appropriate, for violations considered willful and damaging to the prestige of the club, comfort and well-being of other members, or damaging to Club property. XI. BROOKRIDGE GOLF & FITNESS / WEST - 9 COURSE All Club policies and procedures applicable to the 18 Hole course apply to the 9 Hole course. Brookridge West-9 Course has open play at all times except Saturday and Sunday when children must be accompanied by an adult member to play before 1:30 p.m. After 1:30 p.m., it is open play. Wednesday: West-9 Men s Golf Association. Thursday: West-9 Ladies Golf Association (call shop for open tee times) (MARCH-OCTOBER). All players must register at the BGF West-9 Golf Shop. All players must start at Hole #1. In the event you choose to go around a second time, you must again check in with the starter or place another tee time. Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of scheduled tee time. From March through October to obtain tee times call the BGF West-9 Golf Shop at two days in advance.

7 XII. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Players must be restricted during posted tournaments or events at the Club and are advised to consult the bulletin boards regularly to keep abreast of tournament activities and forthcoming restrictions. CONCLUSION By observing the Course Rules as outlined, and the answers contained therein, Brookridge Golf enthusiasts should add appreciably to their enjoyment of the game. Golfers who live by the rules know the value of the rules and regulations and how they can help them when they are right and penalize them when they should be penalized. A complete book of USGA rules and regulations should be your guide to proper play. The book can be purchased in the Golf Shop.
