3 Airport Transfers The Organising Committee would like to try and make your journey to Dumfries as simple as possible. Below outlines possible routes to Dumfries from the following Airports; Glasgow & Edinburgh. Arrivals Thursday 23 rd March Glasgow Pick ups Times to be confirmed Edinburgh Pick ups Times to be confirmed Transfers will be charged at 10 per person to book a seat please before 1 st Feb Alternative Routes Direct from Airport to Edinburgh Waverly Station Tram ( 5 pp] or Taxi [about 20 for vehicle) Train to Lockerbie Station 1hr [about pp one way or 20 pp return) Direct Trains Leave 0812; 1008; 1212; 1417; 1813; 2014; Glasgow Central Station - Lockerbie Train Station 1hr Stagecoach bus direct from Glasgow centre to Dumfries is about 2 hours Please call when train departs Glasgow or Edinburgh to allow us to meet you at Lockerbie Station to transfer to Dumfries (20mins) Departures from Dumfries to Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport Bus 1 will leave Sunday to Edinburgh at 3pm and arrive between 4.30/5pm in Edinburgh Bus 2 will leave Sunday to Glasgow at 3pm and arrive between 4.30/5pm in Glasgow Departure shuttles will be 10 per person, to book a space on the bus please by 1 st March

5 Prize Fund & Split A cash pot of 4900 has been secured for the event and we are pleased to have Solway Fuels on board as event sponsor. Winner Runner Up rd Place th Place /4Finals x 4 ( 1200) Social Events Teams are invited to join the Tournament Banquet on Saturday 25 th March from 6.30pm until late. Entertainment to be confirmed The ¼ finals will be played at 8.30pm on Saturday Evening. Hospitality Teams will be able to help themselves to food throughout the event within the curling lounge. We would also encourage teams to share a drink with their opponents after the games at the Curlers Bar.

7 Rules In accordance with WCF rules UMPIRE REQUEST The Chief Umpire for the event will be assisted by deputies All teams are requested to read the player document to ensure they have read all the event rules. Games will be 8 ends and not played to a set time, teams are asked to keep up to speed to allow ice cuts between sessions and to keep games up to time as it will be a long day. Please also keep scoreboards accurate after each end for our live scoring and webcasting. A minimum of 6 ends are required to be played before conceding any game. Any questions please ask the umpire ICE TECH REQUEST.is our Chief Ice Technician for the event (To be confirmed). In order to provide the best possible playing conditions for all teams we would ask you to support the team by staying behind the field of play until the Ice Technicians give the umpire the all clear for your game to start As games will all finish at different times the Ice Technicians may request to cross your sheet to allow prep for the next session to take place. Your Support is very much appreciated. LSD & Stone Colour As per the draw the first team listed will be the top of the scoreboard and the second team the bottom with stone colour allocated. Hammer 1st Game - Teams will have 5min practice which will include a LSD to determine hammer. Game am First Practice, Game First Practice At the end of each game the winners of the game, followed by the losers, will have two LSD to decide the hammer for the following game. 1 Clockwise 1 Anti-clockwise Knockout games hammer will be allocated on ranking including LSD Teams will be allow 3min practie before each game to get a feel for the Ice conditions Teams are asked to position the placed stones themselves between ends Group Ranking 1.
