Records are archived with at the Stanford Center for Professional Development office and are available for verification upon request. Courses may be taken in any order and any method of instruction: online, at Stanford, or at work. Professional Development Units The Stanford Center for Professional Development is a registered education provider of the Project Management Institute. Professional Development Units (PDU's) may be earned for each course taken as part of the Stanford Advanced Project Management Program to maintain certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP ). Time Commitment On average, students complete the certificate within 1-2 years. Each course is approximately 20 hours.
