In fact, measured by skiable terrain, it's one of the six biggest ski areas in the United States. But we don't get the crowds that most of the other biggies do. So there's a spacious feel to skiing and riding Mt. Bachelor you don t find at most big mountains. Going up? There are seven high-speed lifts. Going down? There's 3365' vertical, and huge snowfall see the stats section for more. Mt. Bachelor has quite a backstory both in its natural history, and its history as a ski area. Mt. Bachelor is a true destination despite the fact that uniquely among America's major ski areas it has no slopeside, lodging, no fancy base villages, no condo developments or any other sign of the highpriced foofaraw so common at major ski areas nowadays. We don't have it, we probably never will, and we're actually pretty darned proud of that because we've got something much better. Mt. Bachelor is the largest ski resort in the Cascade Range, offering 3,683 acres of lift accessible terrain. The mountain features 10 lifts, seven of which are Express Quads, plus two tubing lifts and two beginner carpets and an average annual snowfall of 462 inches. Mt. Bachelor also features 5 terrain parks, a super pipe, 56K of groomed and tracked cross country trails, snowshoeing, tubing and sled dog rides. Mt. Bachelor caters to all ability levels. Carrousel, our free beginners lift, offers an easy ride up and gentle slope down, while experts can rip from the summit or cruise the steeper glades off the Northwest Express lift. Terrain park enthusiasts enjoy a variety of options in 5 designated parks and endless natural features across the mountain. Trips are open to members only (Some trips may be open to members of clubs belonging to the Florida Ski Council). Our programs are geared for socializing, no need to be an expert skier. 5 Reservations: Use reservation form supplied. Complete all information requested and submit to Fort Lauderdale Snow Ski Club, Inc. at the above address. Deposit must accompany all reservations. All prices and arrangements are subject to change due to additional cost incurred or unforeseen circumstances. Additional costs are prorated among participants. Roommates: Requests made in writing by both parties will be honored. Singles are successfully matched by sex, smoking/nonsmoking, age, etc. Additional charges may be incurred for occupancies other than package offerings. Party/Event Cancellation: Within seven days of event - no refund. Cancellations greater than seven days will receive refund less minimum service charge of $5. No refunds on unused services included in packages. Trip Cancellation/Charges: Participants transferring from one trip to another shall be considered as having canceled the first trip. All cancellations shall be in writing to the trip leader and are subject to the terms below. Weekends: Up to 21 days prior to departure, upon replacement by a suitable traveler, refund of amount paid less $25 per person service charge. Cancellation within 21 days of trip, no refund unless suitable replacement is made. If you are replaced, refund will be paid less $50 per person service charge. Any unpaid balances within 21 days of departure, subject to cancellation by the Fort Lauderdale Snow Ski Club and forfeiture of all moneys paid. Days: Same as above but service charge may vary with event. Weeks: Up to 60 days prior to departure, upon replacement by a suitable traveler, refund of amount paid less $200 per person service charge. Cancellations within 90 days of trip, no refund unless suitable replacement made and accepted. If you are replaced, refund will be paid less $100 per person service charge. Any unpaid balances within 60 days of departure, subject to cancellation by The Fort Lauderdale Snow Ski Club, Inc. and forfeiture of all moneys paid. Subject to rules set by travel agency and/or airlines. NO REFUNDS ON UNUSED SERVICES included in packages. Responsibility: Participants agree to hold harmless the Fort Lauderdale Snow Ski Club, Inc., its agents, trip leaders and/or representatives from any claims whatsoever resulting from participation in any club activity. The Fort Lauderdale Snow Ski Club, Inc. is not liable for faults or defaults of companies or persons carrying out services; nor for accidents, injuries, delays or cancellations; changes due to weather, acts of God, or War; baggage, lodging, or reasons beyond the Club's control.
