1 Receipt Label Printing Before Update PO-1051 Overview This Extended Solution to the Purchase Order module modifies Receipt Label printing as follows: Allows labels to be printed before the Purchase Order Receipts Register is updated Adds an option to print a second set of Receipt Labels Allows the user to specify the number of labels per set Allows the user to specify a mask for Standard Price Adds additional Form fields to the non-crystal Form Installation Before installing this Extended Solution, please verify that the version level(s) printed on the CD label are the same as the version level(s) of the MAS 90 MAS 200 module(s) you are using. For further information, please see the Upgrades and Compatibility section below. Check your Shipping Manifest for a complete list of Extended Solutions shipped. For detailed installation instructions, please refer to the Sage website at: Installing Your Extended Solutions under Windows From a CD If you have the autorun function turned on for your PC, the installation program will start up automatically. If not, find the autorun.exe file on your CD-ROM drive and double-click it to start the installation program. Follow the on-screen instructions. From the Sage FTP site When your Extended Solution is ready to be downloaded, you will receive an from extendedsolutions.na@sage.com telling you that it is ready. The will contain the Customer Name, Cross Reference, a case-sensitive Password, a link via which you can download your Extended Solution, instructions and a Shipping Manifest. If you have any problems with this order, please extendedsolutions.na@sage.com and we will assist you during normal business hours. Extended Solutions Control Center Installing any Extended Solution will add an Extended Solutions Control Center to the MAS 90 MAS 200 Library Master Utilities menu. 2 Merge Installation Files Extended Solutions Setup options Custom Office If you customize your MAS 90 MAS 200, then you must run the Update Utility every time you install this Extended Solution. Setup Once the disk is installed, you will need to access the Purchase Order option screen. After the option screens have been displayed, a Setup screen for this Extended Solution will appear. Check the Enable Extended Solution box to activate this Extended Solution (Figure 1). The manual for this Extended Solution, if it has been installed, can be viewed by clicking the Manual button next to the Enable Extended Solution check box. It can also be viewed via the Extended Solutions Control Center (see Installation, above). Figure 1 Answer the following prompts: PRINT LABELS AFTER UPDATE: Check this box if you wish to be able to print labels after the update process is complete. Leave it blank to avoid the standard MAS 90 MAS 200 prompt to print labels after update. If you print receipt labels after the update, then the additional form fields will not print; the labels print as they would in standard MAS 90 MAS 200. NUMBER OF LABELS FOR FIRST SET: Enter the multiplier you wish to use as the default multiplier for the first set of labels. This default may be overridden on the selection screen. 3 PRINT SECOND SET OF LABELS: Check this box to be prompted to print a second set of labels. NUMBER OF LABELS FOR SECOND SET: Enter the multiplier you wish to use as the default multiplier for the second set of labels. This default may be overridden on the selection screen. For Lot Value items, the Quantity of labels entered here will be produced per Item/Lot Number. FORM CODE FOR SECOND SET OF LABELS: Enter a form code you wish to use as the default form code on the selection screen for the second set of labels. This default may be overridden on the selection screen (see FORMS below). STANDARD PRICE MASK: Enter the mask you wish to use when printing Standard Price. INTEGRATE FIRST SET WITH PO-1050: Check this box to use the PO-1050 multiplier on the first set of labels. INTEGRATE SECOND SET WITH PO-1050: Check this box to use the PO-1050 multiplier on the second set of labels. To use the prompts that integrate labels with PO-1050 you must have Sage Extended Solution PO-1050: Purchase Order Line User Defined Fields installed and enabled. Refer to the PO-1050 manual for information regarding the quantity multiplier. If this Extended Solution has not previously been added to a menu, a pop-up screen will be presented asking if you would like this Extended Solution automatically added to the selected menu. Answer NO if you wish to use Menu Maintenance to add the program to a different menu of your choice. You should visit this Setup screen after each upgrade or reinstallation of this Extended Solution. Operation Label Printing In Purchase Order Receipt Entry The prompt for Receipt Label Printing will appear when exiting from Purchase Order Receipt Entry. If you have the Inventory Maintenance option for Receipt Labels set to Yes, one receipt label will print for all quantities of the item. If you set it to No, no labels will print. On the Label Set 1 screen (Figure 2), you may either print the first set of labels, or print only the second set of labels without having to print the first set. If you wish to print the first set only, click the Print button. If you wish to print only the second set without having to print the first, click the Label Set 2 button (Figure 2) to access the Label Set 2 screen (Figure 3). 4 Figure 2 Figure 3 Label Printing After Update If you checked the Print Labels After Update box on the Setup screen, you may print labels after the update process is completed. Forms Non-Graphical Forms You can maintain the new form fields for this Extended Solution by clicking the Form button. A window will pop up where you may select the form you would like to maintain (Figure 4). Select this Extended Solution to display the Form Maintenance screen (Figure 5). The new fields that you activate with this Extended Solution will print in addition to any other fields that have been activated in FORM maintenance Sage Software, Inc. All rights reserved. 6 Helpful Hints If you wish to perform Form Maintenance for the P/O Receipt Label Form, you must have at least one Receipt in the batch. Otherwise, you can maintain the Inventory Item Label Form from Inventory (the same Form is used). If Receipt Label Printing has been added to a menu (see Setup above), you don t need to print the labels upon leaving Receipt Data Entry. The receipt labels may be printed from the menu and will then print labels from items in the current receipt batch (as long as the receipts have not been updated). PO-1051 Receipt Label Printing Before Update form may be altered from I/M Label Printing, but you can not print the P/O form fields on labels from I/M Label Printing. If you print receipt labels after the update then the additional form fields will not print (the labels print as they would in standard MAS 90 MAS 200.) Upgrades and Compatibility The installation CD is labeled with the version of the MAS 90 MAS 200 module for which this Extended Solution was prepared. This Extended Solution will check its compatibility with the appropriate MAS 90 MAS 200 modules and will be disabled if an incompatibility is found. If you upgrade your MAS 90 MAS 200 modules, this Extended Solution must be upgraded as well. Your MAS 90 MAS 200 dealer can supply this upgrade. Documentation Only changes made to the standard operation of MAS 90 MAS 200 have been documented in this manual. Operations not documented in this manual are standard procedures of MAS 90 MAS 200 processing. Standard MAS 90 MAS 200 processes, data entry screens, inquiry screens, reports, updates, etc., have not been changed unless addressed in this document. Parts of this document may refer to the Specific Purpose Rule. When referenced, the described feature was developed for a specific client to its specifications and may not conform to generally accepted MAS 90 MAS 200 standards and procedures.
