2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Extremely Important Store panels in a dry place. Stand the panels on end and fan them out at the bottom to provide air circulation and moisture run-off. If panels must be stacked, they should be kept off the ground on wooden blocks or strips in an inclined position in a dry place. The panels should be stored outside only when it is absolutely necessary and then only for short periods of time. The use of canvas or waterproof paper should be used only when allowing for ventilation. Plastic tarping, which may cause sweating and condensation and trap moisture should never be used. If these precautions are not taken and moisture is trapped in the panel, superficial staining may occur. When moisture remains in the bundle of for a considerable time, wet-storage stains can occur, reducing the effective life of the panel. Failure to comply with the above recommended procedures relieves Wheeling Corrugating Company of responsibility for any resultant damage to, or deterioration of, and voids all warranties.

3 Installation is an exceptionally popular and versatile panel used extensively for residential and commercial applications. This attractive standing seam panel has no visible fasteners for a neat, crisp look (see Panel Fastening below for additional fastening instructions). 12" 3/4" How to Begin Wheeling Corrugating recommends placing on a solid substrate with a vapor barrier of 30 lb. felt. In areas where ice damming can occur, a waterproof membrane is recommended at the eaves and in the valleys. Install the eave trim and valleys prior to laying the panels. Check the roof for squareness and protruding objects. Make sure all roof projections are in place. Mark a panel alignment line square with the eave. Place strip mastic or sealant on the eave trim at the point of panel placement. Install the first panel square with the alignment line and no more than 3/8" from the barge rafter. Extend the panel from the eave. Panel Fastening The panel is fastened with a buglehead screw in non-exposed areas and a metal-wood screw in exposed areas such as the 3/8 MAX valleys and at the eave. The first panel should be fastened with a 1-5/8" screw 1-1/4" through the rib, 24" on center. The male edge of each panel will be fastened with screws, 24" on center. For maximum uplift protection, place two metal-wood screws near the outside minor ribs at the eave. 24" O.C. OVERHANG 3RD SCREW 2ND NOTE: EAVE FLASHING NOT SHOWN FOR CLARITY End Panel Subsequent panels will be snapped together starting at the eave and working toward the ridge. Work only from one end. Do not over-drive the screw. It will dimple or distort the panel. Check routinely for squareness. The last panel may not end with the male rib at the edge of the roof. If the last panel extends beyond the roof, the panel should be trimmed 3/4" beyond the edge. Bend the extension up to 90 degrees using a hand seamer or a crimp tool. Fasten the panel with a metal-wood screw as close to the edge as possible 24" on center. It will be covered by the gable trim. 4 Eave Trim Trim Install on edge of roof with screws, 24" on center. Lap 3", caulk between. Rivet exposed lap. Apply mastic tape or sealant prior to placing panel. SCREWS BOTTOM CLOSURE (OPTIONAL) ROOF PANEL EAVE TRIM WALL PANEL W-Valley Start at eave. Extend valley to bend over eave. Lap 8", caulk thoroughly. Place two rows of strip mastic on each side. Trim panel 4" from valley center. Fasten panel with 4 metal-wood screws through mastic. SCREW (4) EVENLY SPACED THRU CLOSURE PANEL 4" 8" 6" 2x TAPE MASTIC End Wall After applying the roof panels, install a polyethylene closure, caulk all around. Fasten end wall trim to vertical wall with screws 24" on center. Rivet or stitch screw trim to tip of panel rib 12" on center. SCREW 24" O.C. END WALL TRIM POLYETHYLENE CLOSURE CAULK TOP & BOTTOM OR RIVET FASTEN THRU RIB, 12" O.C PANEL Side Wall Trim Install roof panels. If the panel does not end with a rib, add 3/4", trim the panel full length, and bend the extension up 90 degrees. Fasten panel with metal-wood screws 24" on center. Fasten the trim on the side wall with screws 24" on center. SCREW 24" O.C. SIDE WALL TRIM BEND PANEL 90 IF NOT AT RIB Gable Apply gable trim to both ends of the roof, starting at the eave. Fasten on barge rafter with metal-wood screws 24" on center. Crimp upper end of trim, caulk and lap 3". On start side, mark rib top, drill and rivet 24" on center. On the panel end side, the gable trim will be riveted from the side 24" on center. Install before applying ridge cap. START BLIND RIVET 24" O.C. 5 Pitch Change Trim Install lower roof first. Install polyethylene closure, caulk all around. Fasten pitch change trim on top of lower panels with screws to decking and stitch screws or rivets to the top rib of lower panels. Apply 2 SCREW 24" O.C. STRIP MASTIC - 2 ROWS SCREW 2 PER PANEL CAULK TOP AND BOTTOM VARIES SCREW 24" O.C. 1 1/4" SCREW 2 PER PANEL STRIP MASTIC - 2 ROWS rows of strip mastic to the top of trim and fasten panel through mastic with metal-wood screws. Lap and caulk trim 3". PITCH CHANGE CAULK TOP AND BOTTOM EACH RIB PITCH CHANGE PANEL Ridge Cap Install polyethylene closures, caulk all around. Fasten to the top of each rib, 12" on center with rivets or stitch screws. Caulk and lap trim 3". RIVET OR STITCH SCREW THRU RIB 12" O.C. CAULK ALL AROUND PANEL OR RIVET 12" O.C. Vented Ridge Cap Install vent screen before installing panels. Maximum opening is 3". Bend up panel ends with crimp tool or place x 2" angle under panel and caulk thoroughly. Rivet or stitch screw ridge cap to each rib, 12" on center. Lap and caulk a minimum of 3". BEND UP PANEL ENDS RIVET THRU RIB 12" O.C. 3" VENT SCREEN BEND UP PANEL ENDS Hip Cap A painted zee closure (optional) will improve the appearance and offer more support to the hip cap over longer spans. Install as shown. Trim solid polyethylene closure to fit, caulk all around. Fasten hip cap with rivets or stitch screws to the top of the panel rib and the zee closure, if used.
