2 Itinterary Day 1 Sunday - October 8: Depart the USA on your flight to Berlin Depart the US to Berlin, Germany. Day 2 Monday - October 9: Arrive Berlin Welcome to Berlin! Upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. You will have some time to settle in and refresh yourself and in the afternoon you will enjoy a lovely guided walking tour of the German capital to give you an overview of the city. This evening you will celebrate your visit to Berlin with a welcome dinner. D Day 3 Tuesday - October 10: Berlin After enjoying a lovely breakfast you will have a short tour of Berlin. This 3 hour guided tour provides an overview of historic and contemporary Berlin and includes the numerous famous monuments: the Kurfürstendamm, the Kaiser- Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche church, Charlottenburg Castle, the Siegessäule, the Government district (Regierungsviertel), the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, the monument to the murdered European Jews, Unter den Linden avenue, the Museum Island, the Red Town Hall, the Nikolai quarter, the gendarmes market, the former Check Point Charlie, remains of the Berlin Wall, Potsdamer Platz, the embassies in the Tiergarten district and the Forum of Cultures. This tour will be a combination of walking and driving which is the best way to explore Berlin. Afternoon at leisure. We strongly recommend to visit the Museums Island on your own, which is an UNESCO World Heritage site and is an extraordinary ensemble of five world-renowned museums that you may explore at your leisure. B / D Day 4 Wednesday - October 11: Berlin to Wittenberg / Leipzig This morning you will have a special experience visiting Berliner Unterwelten (a subterranean museum). Everyday hundreds of people walk past a green door in the Gesundbrunnen underground railway station, unaware that within lies a subterranean labyrinth full of history just waiting to be experienced. Berlin was the nerve center of the Third Reich and therefore one of the main targets for allied bombing during WW II. On this tour our expert guides will lead you in exploring one of the few remaining bunkers, as it was left after the war. Proceed to Wittenberg to visit the largest museum in the world on the history of the Reformation. We will also visit the Schlosskirche church in Wittenberg, which houses the tomb of Martin Luther. Following your tour you will be transferred to your hotel in Leipzig for check in. Dinner at the hotel. B / D

3 Day 5 Thursday - October 12: Leipzig / Torgau / Leipzig After an early breakfast you will travel to Torgau. This is a beautiful scenic drive with views of the Elbe River. Our first stop will be the war memorial, where Russian and American troops joined hands at the River Elbe in Germany, bringing the end of the war one step closer. Afterwards there will be a Kodak moment at the Hartenfels castle, where Luther consecrated for the first time a reformed Church, according to his own Ideas. We are going to visit the tomb of Katharina von Bora and make a stop at the building where Luther, Melanchthon, Jonas and Bugenhagen worked out the basic ideas of the Torgau Articles in We return to the hotel in Leipzig for dinner and overnight. B / D Day 6 Friday - October 13: Leipzig / Weimar / Erfurt Your day begins with a sightseeing tour of Leipiz, the city that had a great influence on the economy and spiritual life of Europe for many centuries. The historic architecture of the city center has been beautifully preserved and restored. Visit the St. Thomas Church where Martin Luther preached his ideals of the Protestant Reformation. Along the way to Erfurt we visit the city of Weimar, home of important figures such as Goethe, Schiller, Bach and Liszt. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy some leisure time before a dinner this evening. B / D Day 7 Saturday - October 14: Erfurt / Eisleben / Erfurt Erfurt is also known as the Thuringian Rome because of its architectural beauty. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city and visit the Augustine monastery where Martin Luther served as a monk. Admire the longest wooden bridge in Europe. In the afternoon we visit the city of Eisleben, where Martin Luther was born in Return to your hotel in Erfurt. Dinner and overnight. B / D Day 8 Sunday - October 15: Erfurt - Eisenach - Regensburg Today we visit the impressive castle of Wartburg, where Luther translated the New Testament into German. The castle is also known as Lutherhaus. Before we depart Eisenach, there will be time to visit the museum of genius composer Johann Sebastian Bach. The composer s former home is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon we travel to Regensburg for dinner and overnight. B / D Day 9 Monday - October 16: Depart Germany Transfer to the airport in Munich for your flight home. B
