5 Regional Plan against Pain Since 2009 we had a Regional Plan for Pain Control aplying nationl and international guidelines. The Plan is for Acute Pain, Chronic Pain and Delivery Pain. The Regional Plan for Pain Control has a Coordinator. A priority was education of professionals public information (campaigns, partnerships, patients Associations) 2013 this Plan was selected as a Good Practice in a national competition (selected in the first group - eleven programs - in a total of 75)
6 Education Courses to all nurses and physicians in small groups in the place of work ( 3 Hospitals and 17 Community Health Centers) Public: 362 physicians in hospitals and 151 Familiy Doctors; 899 nurses in hospitals and 501 in community. Conferences, workshops, Congresses Involvement of Chronic Disease Patient Associations information in National Days and International Days about Pain and about Palliative Care
7 Outcomes Professionals are aware about pain evaluation and treatment, pain impact, drugs and technical; They refer more patients to Pain Units; Healthy life styles and Live Quality Improvement in citizens; Public knows which is the impact of Chronic Pain
