Fans are tested in standardised laboratory conditions. Installed conditions can affect performance. dba figures at 3 metres are measured in free field conditions on the inlet side of the fan at peak operating efficiency. 5 Free Field Sound Power Levels (db) - Mixed Flow Fans, Circular and Square Inlet side sound power levels measured with free inlet and ducted discharge. Sound levels were determined in accordance with DIN Standard (ISO3744) Part 1. The sound power levels are at peak efficiency point. Sound levels are variable with duty. The figures shown are for typical conditions. Installed conditions and ductwork layout influence final noise levels achieved. Correction Table for in-duct installation. An approximation of the in-duct sound power level, with the units mounted in ducts equal to the nominal duct diameter shown, can be obtained by adding the figures from the corrections table to the free field sound power level. Start/Stop operation is via push buttons on the front of the unit. If the mains supply is interrupted the motor will restart when the power returns. The motor protection operation will monitor the thermal protection devices within the motors and shut down the motor if an over temperature situation arises. The unit will remain off until restarted manually. The unit enclosure is IP54 and the ambient temperature range is 25ºC to +40ºC. The unit is suitable for line currents between 0.4 and 10 amps. If motor current is less than 0.4 amps, please enquire Three Phase motor protection - STDT 16 The STDT16 is a 400 volt three phase 16 amp starter and motor protection device. Start/Stop operation is via two buttons on the front of the unit. Motor protection monitors the thermal protection devices within the motor and will shut down the motor if an over temperature situation arises. The unit also features a current trip device which can be set between 10 and 16 amps. The unit enclosure is IP55 and the ambient temperature range is 25ºC to +40ºC. Additional protection against phase loss is required for compliance to statutory regulations. Other controls available A wide selection of single and three phase manual and automatic controls is available. Control using sensing of temperature, airflow, velocity and other signals are available. Controls for current ratings up to 90 amps are also available. Three phase Transformer Control - RTRD The RTRD is a transformer based controller for 400 volt three phase motors. The unit has 5 speed steps and off. The voltage steps are 95,145,180, 240 & 400 volts. The unit features motor protection monitoring the thermal devices fitted within the motor. Room thermostat control using an optional SRE 1 switches between off and the selected speed. A second thermostat is available for frost protection. Maximum ambient temperature +40ºC. The unit has 5 speed steps and off. The voltage steps are 60,105,130,160 & 230 volts. The RTRE units feature motor protection monitoring the thermal devices fitted to the motor. Control using a room thermostat and optional SRE 1 switches between off and the selected speed. A second thermostat is also available for frost protection. To obtain 6-pole, low speed performance, rewire the terminal block to star configuration as shown below. Note: Delta connection is only suitable for ZMF two speed motors. 400V delta connection to a single speed unit will permanently damage the motor. 7 Square Mixed Flow Duct Fans The fan unit can be installed in any position. They have a compact design in a square case constructed from galvanised steel with flange connections. The fan units are fitted with mixed flow impellers and a maintenance free external rotor motor. All sizes have a built in thermal contact which prevents overheating. The units are fully speed regulatable from 100% to 0% and offer a very even sound level over the mid frequency band. All of which contribute to making the range a high quality unit for the air movement industry.
