Manage interdisciplinary team of computer programmers, research psychologists, and domain experts. Serve as the technical manager of contracts and a cooperative research and development agreement (CRDA) with the Air Force Research Laboratory. Aug 1985 to Apr 2000 Air Force Research Laboratory (formerly Armstrong Lab and Air Force Human Resources Lab) Project Manager, Fundamental Skills Training Project: Led software design and development teams on intelligent tutoring systems in word problem solving, scientific inquiry skills, information technology tutor, and an internet-based version of a writing process tutor. Managed and participated in research design, data collection, and analysis of data evaluating the instructional effectiveness of three intelligent tutoring systems in field settings. Gave presentations to professional, academic, research, and practictioner audiences at local, state, and federal levels. Participated and managed in the signing of two cooperative research and development agreements (CRDAs) transferring intelligent learning technologies to the private sector. Managed an interdisplinary team of computer programmers, domain experts, and research assistants in the development of the FST intelligent tutoring systems. Managed 16 short- and long-term research and development contracts.
