7 General Introduction Today and even more in the future, the search for qualified personnel will intensify for industrial companies. Every year, fewer graduates are choosing to pursue a technical course of study. In view of these decreasing numbers, Siemens encourages young students to be excited about technical careers - for example with the ASiAS Program. Based on our good relationships to German Universities we would like to inspire some of the best technical Asian students to participate at the ASiAS Program and later on to start a professional career at one of our Siemens companies in Asia. The ASiAS Program with its business orientated activities, practical experiences and deeper technological insights aims to provide the participants a best possible preparation for their career within Industrial Automation Systems (AS). Selected graduates of ASiAS will be recommended to join Siemens Graduate Program (SGP), the AS Traineeship or to start a challenging and interesting job at Siemens in Asia directly. All options will fast-track a successful and fulfilling career at Siemens.

11 Qualification and Criteria for Selection Nationality: Asian countries: China (inclusive. Taiwan); India; Pakistan; Korea; Majors of study: Indonesia; Malaysia; Vietnam; Thailand; etc. 10 Candidates in total for 2013 Preferred: Electrical engineering, Mechatronical engineering, Automation engineering, Process engineering, or Mechanical engineering, Computer science with automation focus, Semester: higher than 4 th semester (for Bachelor students) higher than 2 rd semester (for Master students) higher than 4 th semester (for PhD students) Soft skills:...language (German, English, local language) willing to go back to home country and work for Siemens and grow with Siemens high performance at the University Graduation at least in 2 semesters

12 Application Procedure Selection of candidates Interview with ASiAS Steering Committee Define development module for the candidates CV evaluation by Siemens ( please feel free to contact Mr. Wang ) (above-average grades or possibly expanded knowledge with automation focus) Initiative meeting on Hannover Fair (11. April. 2013) Discussion about personal career developing with ASiAS steering committee which consist s of HR Director, Director for Business Development, Siemens Cooperation Education (SCE) and Regional Managers of AS Define the individualized ASiAS module for the selected candidate based on qualifications and personal interests as well as the requirements of local AS organization in Asia. Program roll out
