General description The Haarslev Industries HM 2264 SJ continuous cooker is a compact drying machine for treatment of meat and bone offal and poultry offal. The HM cooker consists of a horizontal stator with a steam heated rotor in special execution for heating and transport of the cooked material during the process. The continuous cooker is delivered with shaft-mounted gear driven by an electric motor through a V-belt drive. 2. Rotor The stator is delivered with steam heated jacked in stainless steel AISI 304 or similar quality. The jacked is with a heating surface of 37 m 2 and designed for the same steam pressure as the rotor 10 bar 180 C. The jacked is delivered with flange connection for steam valve and condensate equipment. Parts in the stator, which are in direct contact with the fat and cooked materiel, are made of stainless steel AISI 304 or similar quality. External legs and supports in mild steel. The stator is equipped with a number of stainless scrapers, which are designed to stop material build-up between the discs of the rotor. The scrapers are mounted by means of hexagon-headed screws. The end plates in both ends are in mild steel covered with 5 mm solid stainless steel and can be taken off and the rotor drawn out. The stator is equipped with inspection doors, which can be operated from the gangway. Further, there is an access door in each end plate, which makes it possible to remove e.g. possible foreign bodies. Inlet of the wet material takes place through the inlet chute in the drive end of the continuous cooker. Outlet of fat and cooked materiel takes place at the opposite end in the bottom of the stator through an extracting screw conveyor with variable speed drive. The vapors are removed through two vapor outlets. 4.1 Rotor Pipe with Discs

9 Haarslev Industries Quotation No B Page 9 of 20 Parts in the rotor, which are in direct contact with the fat and cooked material, are executed in stainless steel AISI 304 or similar quality. The rotor is constructed of 64 discs of stainless steel each with a thickness of 10 mm. The discs are welded to a central pipe of carbon steel. The diameter of the discs is 2200 mm. The heat is transferred to the cooked material due to the material getting in contact with the steam-heated surface of the rotor. The amount of water evaporated from the material is removed through the vapor dome in the top of the stator. The internal steam system in the rotor is executed with forced steam distribution to each single disc where the steam and condense flow takes place. The steam inlet is placed in the driven end. The condense outlet and ventilation is placed in the opposite end. On the periphery, the discs of the rotor are equipped with exchangeable paddles for optimum transport and agitation of the cooked material. These have the effect that during the rotation of the rotor an efficient stirring is obtained, whereby the largest possible quantity of cooked material obtains direct contact with the heating surface in the drier and the fat. 4.2 Bearing and Bearing Housing Bearings and bearing housings are of a recognized manufacture. The bearing housings are designed for oil lubrication. 4.3 Rotating Stuffing Boxes 5. 10 Haarslev Industries Quotation No B Page 10 of Belt Drive 5.3 Reaction Bar The gear is a shaft mounted gear fixed on the shaft journal. The gear will be delivered with water cooling system with automatic Danfoss valve. The V-belt sheaves are secured on the shafts with taperlock bushings and thus it is possible to change the number of revolutions for the rotor by exchanging the V-belt sheaves. A reaction bar mounted between the gear and the foundation absorbs the reaction from the moment, which is transferred from the gear to the rotor. 1- Motor, Type 110 kw 1475 rpm for direct start. The HM continuous cooker will be delivered with the following equipment to be built on during erection: Item B.2 1- Standard Set of Temperature Sensors 1 Set PT-100 sensors for measuring of temperature in the outlet, in the center and in the inlet of the cooker. Item B.3 1- Standard Set of Steam and Condensate Equipment To be erected on the drier as minimum for reaching the rated nominal capacity. Steam system consisting of a flexible steam hose, stop valve, and steam regulating valve and steam pressure gauge. Condense system consisting of flexible hose, steam traps, non-return valve, air separator and bottom emptying valve. Item B.4 1- Inspection Platform

The grating is galvanized. The lengths of the platform are equal to the lengths of the cylindrical part of the stator. Item B.5 1- Set of Load Cells To be installed underneath the continuous cooker to measure the total amount of materiel in cooker. The supply cover the parts to be installed underneath as well as the parts for the control panel. The single-step cage consists of a sturdy steel framework, it has a vertical joint and can be opened by hinges after loosening the locking bolts in order to permit a replacement and/or cleaning of the worms and scrapers without having to remove the cage halves. The fat expelled in the cage runs into a collector trough where a screw with separate drive conveys the fat and fines to the outlet. The press is driven by an electric motor. The gear reduction is performed by a V-belt drive and a heavy duty planetary gear unit. The delivery will include: 1- Main driving motor 110KW 1- Fat screw 1,1KW 1- cage lifting tool 1 set of special tools for replace screw parts Output: kg of cake meal per hour based on a continuous feeding with semi-finished material having a grain size up to 20 mm, on a temperature of approx deg. C., and on a residual moisture content of 5-8 per cent. Residual Grease Content: 9-14 per cent when processing slaughterhouse offal and with the above conditions being met. The fat and fines hit the screen and the fat penetrate the screen and the solid stay on top of the screen. Due to the inclination and the vibration of the screen the solid is transported to the solid outlet. The fat penetrating the screen is collected in the bottom tray and guided to the fat pump. The fat collector is with level switch which give an alarm in case the fat level is too high. The bottom tray is with inspection and cleaning door
