1 8FT X 8FT SHED ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS The following instructions are meant to instruct the individual on the typical construction of a 8 foot deep x 8 foot wide x 8 foot high shed or greenhouse utilizing the bend a shed s bendable angled joists and T-bracket system. The instructions presented here is one example of the many different types of buildings that could be created using this system. Always check with your local building codes for size restrictions, if any exist, in your township/county. Typical limitations are 120 sq. Feet. Tools for a safe and efficient build: Two people willing to get their hands dirty Work gloves Safety glasses Hammer Hand saw (circular saw even better) Phillips #2 screwdriver Clamps (quick clamps preferred) for holding the bracket to the wood during assembly Level Framing square Step ladder utility knife Wood pencil Tape measure Hand drill with a Philips head driver (may want to have a drill set handy too ) At least two feet clearance around the base of the structure The basics : The basic bend a shed kit is composed of 6 angled joist brackets and 16 T-brackets which are used in conjunction with the proper wood selection to give you a best in class DIY (do-it-yourself) shed on the market. The brackets are designed to minimize the amount of material needed for the structure while increasing the overall stability and quality of your structure. 1

3 THE FLOOR : A structure always starts with its location and foundation. There are many different methods used in creating a floor for your structure, if you choose to have one. Here, only two scenarios will be covered. You decide if you have something different or more elaborate in mind. Our two suggested methods are either one to be placed on top of a concrete pad or one to be placed on top of a relatively level surface, whether it would be grass, stones or dirt. Both methods use pressure treated 2x4 for structure and 4x8 foot tongue in groove plywood as the floor. The minor differences can be seen below. Our suggested flooring methods are to either be placed on top of a concrete pad, a wooden platform or a level surface, whether it be grass / stone or dirt. If wood makes contact with or close to the ground use pressure treated wood. Please contact us if you have additional questions or feedback. 12 Hanging The Doors Hinges will screw into these 2x4 s Cut these boards out after the doors are installed (see page 7) ¼ Gap Top and Bottom All Doors Hanging the doors may be easier if they are screwed together and set in place as one unit. By placing a ¼ spacer on the bottom seal will locate the doors vertically. When centered drill and screw the strap hinges in place 12
