1 OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Courses & Voice Authentication 1 STEP Go to the home page and click on Login

2 2 STEP Enter your User Login and Password. Click on Login. EXAMPLE Name John Doe Social Security Number User Login: jdoe Password: 1234 NOTE Your password may be a different combination of four digits. Please refer to your welcome . 2

3 3 STEP Click on the green button labeled Enter directly across from the OSHA Course that you will be taking. NOTE You will need the most current version of Flash Player to view the courses. If you do not have the most current version of Flash installed on your system, a text box will be displayed and a simple installation process will follow, or go to fl ashplayer/ to download. 3

4 4 STEP Click on the blue Start button. 4

5 5 STEP Type in your phone number (including area code) in the blanks provided. Click on Continue. NOTE Use a phone number that you have immediately available. You will be receiving a call from an automated system in just a matter of moments. 5

6 STEP 6 This screen gives you tips to create a quality voice Print. Click on Continue. 6

7 7 STEP When you are ready to receive the call, click on Place Call Now. 7

8 8 STEP This screen simply asks you to Please listen to the instructions on the phone call to create a voice print. NOTE Within a few seconds, you will receive a call from the automated voice print system to the phone number you had entered previously. 8

9 9 STEP Once you answer the call from the automated voice print system, you will be asked to read a sampling of numbers into the phone. NOTE There will be three screens of random numbers. Remember to read the numbers that are on your computer screen NOT the numbers listed in this example. 9

10 10 STEP Once you have successfully created the voice print, this screen will appear. Click on Continue to course. 10

11 12 STEP To begin taking the course, click on the green Start button, and follow the prompts on the screen. 11

12 NOTE During the taking of an OSHA course, you will periodically be asked to verify your identity in order to ensure that you are the same person who registered and started the course. OSHA has stated that this verifi cation process must occur randomly and should average once per hour over the duration of the course. This means that during any 10-hour OSHA course you can expect to be verifi ed roughly 10 times. Similarly, during a 30-hour OSHA course you would be verifi ed roughly 30 times. The verifi cation process begins by popping up a screen indicating that you are about to receive a verifi cation call at the phone number that you provided in the sign-up process. You will have the option to enter a different phone number in the event that you are not sitting at that phone (for example, you may be taking training from home or at a job site). A phone call is then made and you are prompted to read a randomly generated 10-digit number displayed on the screen into the phone. If the numbers are read correctly and the voice matches the saved voice print stored on the server, verifi cation is successful and you may continue taking the course. In the event that the match is not successful the system will repeat with up to 3 more random numbers, one at a time. You must meet all course requirements, included but not limited to: a set number of hours of training time, completion of all sub-courses, quizzes, check-point exams, the fi nal exam and completion of the evaluation at end of the course.
