2 GHS What is it? GHS stands for Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals Developed by the United Nations Created so that chemical hazards would be universally understood

11 Corrosives Meaning of Pictogram Skin corrosion Eye damage Corrosive to metals Precautions Prevent skin and eye contact Wear appropriate chemical resistant PPE When added to water, corrosives may react violently. Add corrosive to water, never water to corrosives.

12 Flammables Meaning of Pictogram Flammables Emits flammable gas Self-reactive substances Pyrophorics (ignites in air) Self-heating substances Organic peroxides Precautions Store properly, below 95 F Avoid sources of ignition Properly ground / bond for safe transfers
