Our one week English intensive courses are located in the beautiful area of the Ardennes in Belgium approximately 2.5hrs away from ABC English Language School. Students from all over the world attend our unique English intensive summer courses, which makes your time there dynamic, fun and interesting meeting people from all different backgrounds; but more importantly extremely intensive and serious at the same time.

Well, ABC English School has developed the ABC method for adults, which has proved time and time again that our English learning method is superior to anything else out there. The objective of our intensive summer course is to put you in an intensive environment with other people totally committed to learning English too; Everyday includes hours and hours worth of grammar and vocabulary, various group activities, games, self study, individual attention and lots and lots of conversation practice only in English. We understand that it is extremely intensive and that you are going to concentrate a lot, so physical exercise such as walks around this very peaceful area are included everyday to maximise your success and ability to learn quickly. This intensive week focuses on forcing you to quickly achieve English fluency and to learn grammar and vocabulary that will be useful in every day English for work, study and pleasure. Course Structure 58 lessons per week Each lesson takes 50min Course Facts Start Dates: Friday to Friday Course Length: 7 days / one week Ideal For: Pre Intermediate B1 levels and higher Method/Material: A unique best of the best material is used called the ABC method which has been developed by a team of English experts over the last 15 years; it is a compilation of material gathered from many different sources and it only teaches you what you need to know for functional every day English. Timetable: Friday to Friday with both morning, afternoon and evening classes Class Size: maximum 20 students Minimum age: 18 (in some cases younger if the level of English demonstrates a B1 level) Certification: At the end of the course, you will receive an accredited ABC English School Certificate of Achievement stating your new language level and attendance. 5 5 Registration Procedure Students who attend and participate in this super intensive English course must be able to fully manage with a course conducted entirely in English. You must be able to read, write, listen and speak at a minimum of B1 - Pre intermediate level according to the CEFR. Our selection procedure is very strict as it is extremely important for us to only have students of the same level. How To Register: 1. Do you qualify? Take our test and see for yourself 2. Check your for your results 3. If your level is B1 or higher, wait for us to you again with a formal invitation 4. Skype conversation 5. Register on our page and transfer the fee - Our application procedure is very strict as it is essential for us to only have students of the same level. This helps the learning of language skills to progress at a normal speed. Therefore, after you complete our online test, if your results show that your level is high enough (minimum B1 level required), we will then you again and offer you a place in this intensive week. If you then accept our invitation, a short Skype conversation is necessary with one of our English experts to very quickly indicate to us whether your spoken English level is high enough for you to participate. Should you be successful at this stage, it is then simply a matter of registering via our registration form and issuing an online transfer of the full fee, which will then guarantee your place. If you have taken an ABC English course before or are a returning student you can register online at our registration page. 6 6 Frequently Asked Questions Are the trainers native English speakers? Yes. All the principal instructors are all Native English speakers from Australia, UK, US, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa. What is the selection procedure? All students are required to complete our online test and a short 5min Skype conversation to evaluate your speaking level. Is there a minimum level of English required to join the course? Yes, we do not accept beginners; you must already have a basic level of English. Only students who have a Pre Intermediate level of B1 according to the CEFR and up are accepted into the group. What ages are accepted in the group? The minimum is 18. Only under certain circumstances do we allow people younger than this, based on their level of English and level of maturity. How many students will there be? A maximum of 20. Because our approach is non traditional, we actually achieve higher results when there are more people in the course as this is more productive for our group activities. Will I have any free time? Yes. There is time everyday to relax and switch off in between sessions you will need it. The English lessons are intensive so there is also time for self-study (quiet time) to revise, reflect and practice what you learn. What if I have dietary requirements? All dietary requirements will be taken into account if you are accepted. We always try to accommodate everyone s dietary needs. Is alcohol allowed? No this is forbidden. Only on the last evening do we provide a small amount of alcohol for our endof-course celebration, our farewell event. Accommodation: Will I have my own room/bathroom? No, most of the time the rooms and bathrooms are shared but all rooms have separate beds. What do I need to bring? Bed linen. So bring a sheet for your bed. What facilities are there? All laundry can be done twice per week, there is a washing machine and dryer. Price: Does the cost include everything such as tax? Yes absolutely. There are no hidden costs at all. Logistics: What time do we leave The Hague? We leave at 8:30am sharp on the Friday morning. What time do we arrive back in The Hague?
