5 International Research Projects and Networks EU funded projects Centre for Contemporary India Research and Studies (Programme: EU India Action Plan Suport Facility, ASIE/2009/ ; Centre for Contemporary India Research and Studies). The value of the grant is euro. The Institute is leader and main coordinator of the project IIR UW is a part of research consortium won the prestigious EU grant under the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7). The implementation of the project (No ) entitled the India-EU Joint House for Science and Innovation began on 1 February The value of the grant is euro IIR UW is a part of research consortium which has won the prestigious EU grant under the Seventh Framework Programme for Research (FP7 Marie Curie), entitled (Post-USSR) Tensions. The aim of the project: an interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral doctoral programme to create the next generation of experts on post-soviet affairs. Leader of the project is Dublin City University The Institute is part of the Network on Humanitarian Assistance (NOHA), which is supported by the EU. NOHA is the network of universities dealing with the development of Humanitarian Action Education TUNING - Academic staff from the Institute of International Relations were invited to participate in the TUNING Project, supported by the European Commission. The main objective was to contribute to the elaboration of a framework of comparable and compatible qualifications in the signatory countries of the EU Bologna process Since July 2012 Institue of International Realtions and Centre for Contemporary India Research and Studies IIR University of Warsaw is a part of Indo-European research consortium which won presigous grant in Programme: Erasmus Mundus (Sub-Programme: Erasmus Mundus Partnerships in Action 2, Strand 1). Project title: Interdisciplinary Bridgies in Indo-European Studies (UNIES). Coordinators of the project are: Aarhus University from Denmark and IIT Madras, India Research Networks: Institute is a part of: the European University Centre at Peking University, one of the highest ranked university in China (main coordinator is Lund University) the EU Non-Proliferation Consortium, which is a network supported by the EU bringing together foreign policy institutions and research centres from across the EU. 6 International Cooperation LLP Erasmus Agreement The Institute has over 90 LLP Erasmus Agreement in almost all EU countries Every year over 10 academic staff from partners universities visit the Institute and over 20 academic staff from the Institute teach abroad within the framework of LLP Erasmus Every year the Institute sends over 100 students and hosts over 100 international students Visiting Professors The Institute of International Relations hosts prominent scholars and young academics teaching and doing research in the field of international affairs. 8 The Institute also includes the Centre for Contemporary India Research and Studies, an interdisciplinary unit which cooperates in its research with over 12 Indian universities and prestigious think-tanks from India (e.g. Jawaharlal Nehru University, University of Hyderabad, Manipal University, University of Calcutta, Birla Institute of Management Technology, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai) and over 15 partners from EU (e.g. Centre for Global Governance Studies, India Focus, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven; Department of Political Science, South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg; Contemporary South Asian Studies Programme, School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies, University of Oxford).
