2 HELLO MY WELLNESS WARRIOR! Welcome to your 7-Day Smoothie Challenge! I am so excited that you are hopping on board for this adventure. My name is Elaine Gibson and I am an Extraordinary Lifestyle Coach, raw food educator, raw food chef, speaker, author, green technology specialist, workshop leader and, most important, grandmother. I ll be walking you through each of the seven days in this ebook, where I have given you recipes for 17 of my favorite smoothies. In I beat stage IV cancer without traditional protocols! Now I share my hard-won lessons so you too can lose weight, have more energy, create and renew optimum health. Recently, I have been prominently featured during International Raw Food Day 2013, 2014, 12 Days of Raw Christmas, G O RAW! and Integrated Health Magazines. In addition I was cited as one of the 10 Most Inspirational Natural Cancer Survivors by Extreme Health Radio, Cure 2 Cancer Conference speaker and part of the important Quest for the Cures documentary series. This fall I was interviewed for the Cure to Cancer Conference Tele summit along with Dr. Brian Clement and Dr. Gabriel Cousens. Today as a What I learned while fighting for my life is that a high alkaline, plant based lifestyle is the key to a restoring your body to create a strong immune system and thus, optimal health. Once I began making better choices, juices and smoothies became a key part of my lifestyle. My body began to detox naturally and as a result, I actually have lost 28 pounds and 4-5 sizes..without trying!

3 ! As a Restorative Health Coach, I help you gain clarity so that you too can make better choices. My passion is to help you create your most vibrant Healthalicious life! Keep in mind that this is not a diet; it is a way of life. Smoothies are a really great way to pack in a lot of nutrients all at once, and the recipes here are all delicious. Eating to fuel your body is how you access the rocket fuel energy to accomplish more in your life and enjoy it to the max. Imagine ditching the bags under your eyes and having the energy to get everything done, work out, and laugh that hard belly laugh that makes your cheeks hurt! The recipes in this book will give you that amazing energy, because by drinking smoothies, you are giving your body nutrients in an easy-to-digest from, giving your digestion a break and leaving more energy for you. Digesting food takes a lot of energy away from your bod, and, if you are eating foods that are robbing you of energy, what is left for you? NADA! ZIP! ZILTCH! Let s change that today. Smoothies are: SO WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH SMOOTHIES? WHY ARE THEY GOOD FOR YOU? Chock full of vitamins, enzymes, and minerals Easy to digest, which means optimal assimilation of nutrients Great for stabilizing blood sugar (you will see each smoothie here has a healthy fat, and fat is key for blood sugar stabilization) A fabulous way to consume a variety of different fruits or vegetables at one time Terrific for cleansing the body of toxicity An easy way to add more fiber to your diet for optimal bowel function SMOOTHIES WILL GIVE YOU MORE ENERGY & ARE THE BEST ON-THE-GO MEAL KNOWN TO MAN. WHY IS BLENDING YOUR SMOOTHIE BENEFICIAL? The health of your body depends on your digestion. When you blend your foods, you are supporting digestion. Your body does not have to

5 work so hard to break down the nutrients, as they are in a predigestible state. Did you know that 80% of your energy is spent digesting and assimilating your nutrients? So why not support your body to do less work? Instead of having to prepare and eat cup after cup of healthy greens or fruits, you are packing them into one nutrient-dense smoothie. CHOOSING A BLENDER: Vitamix is a super powerful blender with a very strong motor that not only can blend smoothies, but also can make nut butters and even soups; however, at around $499, it is an investment. Blendtec is another option similar to Vitamix and costs about $350. Nutribullet is a great alternative, as it costs only $99. A blender at Costco, Wal-Mart, or Target will typically cost you around $20. REMEMBER, ANY BLENDER WILL WORK. WE WANT YOU TO START DRINKING SMOOTHIES TO SUPPORT YOUR BODY FOR ULTIMATE HEALTH. MAKING THE ULTIMATE SMOOTHIE 1. Choose the liquid water, coconut water, or a dairy-free milk 2. Choose your greens kale, spinach, parsley, Swiss chard, collards, or lettuce 3. Choose your fruit banana, apple, berries, mango, or leave out the fruit 4. Choose your fat/protein hemp seeds, hemp protein, nut butters, avocado, coconut oil, flax or chia seeds 5. Add a superfood maca, raw cacao, bee pollen, shredded coconut, goji berries, camu camu, or any other of your choosing

6 THE BASICS Over the next 7 days, you are going to make your shopping list for the ingredients and start improving your health by making the smoothies. For an extra boost of protein in the morning, feel free to add protein powder, such as pea protein, hemp protein, or Vega. You can have smoothies for both breakfast and lunch, if desired, but the challenge is to add at least add in one smoothie a day. ELAINE S TASTY TIPS! It is important to note that these smoothies are not heavy in fruit only. They are a good balance to keep you on the alkaline side of your intake. This is key! Use organic foods when possible. If food is out of season, reach for the organic frozen varieties. Be sure that all produce is washed properly using alkaline water, when possible. BIO-INDIVIDUALITY Bio-individuality is the idea that each of us is different and that no two bodies are alike. This is why some people thrive on vegetarian diets while others need meat, or why some people can do 100% raw foods while others need cooked meals in order to attain and maintain optimal health. If you are a cool-bodied person by nature, you can add warming spices to your smoothie to improve digestion and nutrient assimilation. Try using cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric, or cayenne. I suggest starting with a dash and then increasing to 1/2 teaspoon. If you are a warm-bodied person by nature, you can add in cooling spices, such as mint, cilantro, or cardamom. SMOOTHIE MIX-INS

8 1 2 large cucumber peeled and sliced 1 cup fresh/frozen blueberries 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed meal or chia seeds 1 tablespoon raw, organic honey or stevia to taste (optional) * Cucumbers are a wonderful kidney cleanser and provide you with tons of energy. CRANBERRY SWEETNESS BLISS SMOOTHIE 1 cup unsweetened almond/coconut/hemp or rice milk 1 cup of mixed berries 1 4 cup unsweetened cranberry juice concentrate 1 2 avocado 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed meal or chia seeds 1 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon CHOCOLATE BANANA BLISS SMOOTHIE 1 cup almond or coconut milk 1 ripe banana 1/2 cup kale 2 tablespoons cashew butter or almond butter 1 tablespoon raw honey or stevia 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder or raw cacao MOOD STABILIZER 1 cup almond, coconut, or rice milk 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries 1 teaspoon maca powder 1 tablespoon almond butter 1 handful of spinach 1 tablespoon raw, organic honey or stevia to taste (optional) NEED MORE NOURISH ENERGY SMOOTHIE
