3D Pram System Words PLEASE KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
These instructions are important. Read these instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference. Your child s safety may be affected if you do not follow these instructions. Your 3D Pram System is a high quality Silver Cross product. It meets current British and European safety standards and care and regular light maintenance will ensure long service. This vehicle is intended for children from birth and up to 15kg. If somebody unfamiliar is using your 3D always ensure that they read these instructions carefully so that they understand how the product works best. The 3D Pram System is designed and tested to accept the Ventura Plus Car Seat. Always read all the instructions provided carefully and remember, the safety of your child is your responsibility. WARNING: It may be dangerous to leave your child unattended. Contents First check all your parts have been supplied. Your 3D Pram System includes: 1.1 3D Pram System body and chassis 1.2 Pram system liner 1.3 Changing bag 1.4 Hood 1.5 Apron 1.6 Raincover 1.7 Footmuff Preparation for use Remove all packaging material from your 3D Pram System. 2.1 To unfold your 3D release the folding lock by pulling up on each of the handle catches (marked with a number 1) on both sides of the chassis simultaneously. 2.2 Whilst holding each of the handle catches (marked with a number 1), pull upwards on the main handles. The pushchair may lift off the floor during this action. 2.3 As the 3D begins to unfold, release the handle catches and immediately push down with your foot on the centre of the main lock to errect your pushchair. 2.4 Ensure that the secondary locks have engaged on both sides, if not then gently push down to engage them. 2.5 Your 3D is now erected. If you wish to use your pushchair as a pram continue, if you wish to use your 3D as a pushchair proceed to point 4.1. Warning: Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use. Using your 3D as a pram 3.1 Lift the leg supports to the upper position, so that they touch the bumper bar (see point 9.1). 3.2 Recline the seat to the lie flat position by releasing the mechanism at the back of the seat. 3.3 Remove the head support by releasing the zip and then extending the shoulder harness to its fullest length. 3.4 Flip the head support over so that it is upside down and place over the buckle so that the head support is now laying in the seat of the pushchair (under the head of the pram liner). 3.5 Place the liner in the seat unit with the toe end of the liner towards the handles. 3.6 Pull the fabrics over and under at the handle end of the seat. Ensuring that the recline mechanism can pass through the opening in the liner. 3.7 Now pull the liner over the bumper bar, and under the leg support. The liner will attach with velcro underneath the leg support. 3.8 Now fit your hood facing towards the handles. The hood catches should easily click onto the 3D. To lock, put the catch down. Position the rear elasticated hood skirt under the leg support joint. 3.9 Slip the apron cover over the bumper bar end of the pram. Now slide the clips on your apron on to the attachment points inside the hood to enclose the pram. Your 3D Pram System is now ready for use Warning: Do not add a separate mattress.
Using your 3D as a pushchair 4.1 Attach your hood facing towards the bumper bar. The hood catches should easily click into position. Lock them in place by pushing the securing catch down. 4.2 Select the position you require for the seat back (see point 7.2) and the leg support (see point 9.2). Your 3D Pushchair is ready for use. Using the brake 5.1 To engage the brake, press down on either pedal. 5.2 A click will be heard. Note: Always check that your brake is fully engaged by gently rocking the pushchair. 5.3 To disengage the brake, simply push the brake pedal upwards, this will disengage both sides simultaneously. Using the harness 6.1 WARNING: Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt. To fasten the harness insert both buckle clips into each side of the buckle. Listen for the click. 6.2 WARNING: Use a harness as soon as your child can sit unaided. To release the harness press the centre and pull apart. The shoulder straps can be unhooked from the buckle if required. 6.3 Your harness is fully adjustable by moving the slides (A), to make fitting easy. D rings are provided for fitting a separate harness if required (B). Any additional harness used must comply with BS Your child should always be harnessed in and should never be left unattended, even for short periods of time. Adjusting the seat position 7.1 Your 3D has 4 seat positions 7.2 To lower the seat, release the mechanism on the rear top of the seat, and gently lower to the desired position. 7.3 To raise the seat place your hand in the middle of the rear of the seat and gently lift to the desired position ensuring both sides are level. Operating your height adjustable handles 8.1 The handles on your 3D have 2 positions. Press the button on the underside and raise or lower to the desired position Operating your leg support 9.1 Your 3D has a two position leg support for your child. 9.2 Press the buttons simultaneously underneath both sides of the leg support and raise or lower to the desired position. Operating the swivel wheels 10.1 Your 3D has lockable swivel wheels. By pressing the locking catch down the wheels will lock in the fixed position. By lifting this up the wheels will freely swivel for easier steering. You should always lock the wheels on uneven surfaces, and before folding. Using your hood 11.1 Your 3D hood fits on the 3D facing both directions, rearwards for the pram mode and forwards for pushchair mode. Press down on the hood arms to tension the hood. Using your liner 12.1 Your 3D liner has a Soft Wrap to help provide your child with a safe and comfortable position. Open the wrap completely, place your child in the centre of the Soft Wrap and close the waist and crotch pads, securing with the velcro tabs If you wish to attach a separate harness D-rings can be accessed at the sides of liner. Warning: Use a harness as soon as your child can sit unaided. Your pram system liner can be washed (please refer to washcare labels), it is recommended that the mattress and side supports are removed by accessing from the base of the liner.
Using your raincover 13.1 To attach the raincover, first slide over the 3D Pram System handles and pass over the hood. Then fasten the velcro flap at the rear Pull the raincover over the 3D at both ends. Loop the velcro straps at the front around the 3D leg, just below the foot plate, and fasten. The raincover is now fitted Your 3D Pram System raincover is designed to fit the 3D in either pram or pushchair mode. The raincover however is not designed to fit when the Ventura Plus car seat is fitted to the 3D. A separate raincover can be purchased for this purpose. Folding your 3D Your 3D will fold with and without the pram system liner fitted. It is easier without the liner in position, and we would therefore recommend removing it before folding. Note: To ensure your 3D folds correctly remove all items from the shopping basket before attempting to fold. Note: If the liner is left in place and folded for a long period, then the foam mattress will curve upwards. This will then regain its normal flat shape once a baby is placed in the liner. Note: If using as a travel system please ensure that the Ventura Plus car seat is removed before folding Before commencing the fold apply the brake. Then lift the seat back into the upright position (if in pram system make sure you push the apron part upright) lock the swivel wheels and ensure the hood is fully folded back. This is very important Next, gently Pull the 2 finger catches simultaneously upwards (numbered 1) until you hear the click and reveal the red exclamation marks. Now press down gently on the main pushchair handles to disengage the main front locks Rotate the red rotation lever (numbered 2) into the upright position and lift upwards Pushing on the handle and lifting the red rotation lever will help your 3D to fold easily Rock the pushchair onto the front wheels and push downwards. Your 3D will lock together From time to time it may be necessary to lock your 3D by pressing the legs together until the 3D locks. This is perfectly normal. NOTE: When folding your 3D in pram mode, please ensure that the apron (seat back) has been raised to the upright position (see point 7.3), then proceed with points NOTE: Silver Cross advises that the apron is removed before folding in pram mode. Unfolding your 3D 15.1 To unfold your 3D release the folding lock by pulling up on each of the handle catches (marked with a number 1) on both sides of the chassis simultaneously Whilst holding each of the handle catches (marked with a number 1), pull upwards on the main handles. The pushchair may lift off the floor during this action As the 3D begins to unfold, release the handle catches and immediately push down with your foot on the centre of the main lock to errect your pushchair. Note: It is essential to ensure the main lock is engaged. Failure to do so could result in damage to your pushchair Push the main pushchair handles upwards to engage the secondary lock Check the secondary lock has engaged on both sides. If not push down on the tube to lock Your 3D is ready for use. Warning: Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use.
Attaching your Ventura Plus Car Seat 16.1 To attach your Ventura Plus, unfasten the fabric cover on the 3D arms. Lift the catches inside the arms until they reach the stop point Position the Ventura Plus in the 3D seat, do this by firstly positioning the large opening on the Ventura Plus base over the bumper bar Lock the handle down towards the bumper bar, by pressing and holding down both buttons simultaneously, then rotating the handle. An audible click will be heard. Your 3D Travel System is now ready. Warning: Check that the seat unit attachment is correctly engaged by checking both catches are vertical and locked in position with the car seat Detaching your Ventura Plus Car Seat 17.1 To detach your Ventura Plus, simultaneously press the buttons on both sides of the car seat handle at the same time and hold down Rotate the handle to the upright carry position and lift the car seat out of the 3D Push the car seat locks back into the 3D arms and re-attach the fabrics back onto the arms.
Safety Notes Your 3D pushchair is a high quality Silver Cross product. It complies with the European Standard EN:1888:2003 and with correct use and maintenance should give good service. If, however, you should have any problems with your pushchair, please contact your Silver Cross retailer who will take appropriate action. Do not leave your child unattended in this pushchair. Do not carry more than one child in this pushchair. Do not stand a second child on rear lock and use as a buggy board. Do not attach a third party buggy board. The child should always wear a safety harness complying with BS6684. D rings are provided for the attachment of an additional harness. These are located on the existing harness close to where it is attached to the seat frame. Do not hang shopping bags or other objects from the handle. This may cause the pushchair to tip up. Extra shopping or luggage should only be carried in the basket and should not exceed 5kg in weight, evenly distributed. Always hold the seat when making adjustments. Be sure that the parking device is on. Never try to fold the pushchair when the child is seated as this may trap the child. If you have any difficulty in folding or unfolding the pushchair do not force. This will cause damage. Read the To fold or unfold instructions carefully. It may be unsafe to fit accessories or spare parts other than those supplied or recommended by Silver Cross. If anyone other than the owner is going to use the pushchair (e.g. grandparent, child minder), please show them how to use it correctly. Caution: The child should be clear of moving parts while making adjustments. Never leave your child in the pushchair with the raincover fully fitted other than in normal outside use. WARNING: Any load attached to the handle affects stability of the pram/ pushchair. A baby s safety is your responsibility. WARNING: This product is not suitable for running or skating. WARNING: Check that the pram body or seat unit attachment devices are correctly engaged before use. Care and Maintenance Chassis Always check your pushchair for signs of wear. Lubricate moving parts regularly, especially the wheels axles, suspension springs and lower parts of the chassis that tend to collect dirt. Check for freedom of movement of all locking devices. Polish metalwork with a clean, dry cloth. Fabric items and seat unit To clean, sponge area with warm, soapy water. Rinse well with clean water to avoid staining. Allow to dry naturally, away from direct heat and strong sunlight. A certain degree of fading may occur over time through everyday use. Never machine wash, tumble dry, iron or bleach. Guarantee All Silver Cross products are guaranteed for a period of 12 months against faulty workmanship, when the product is used correctly according to the instruction manual. Please read these instructions carefully before using your new 3D pram system and keep for future reference. SX3DFFUK0610W
