2 Introduction The Category 1 training facility, program instructor qualifications, and curriculum must conform closely to the prescribed EETC standards. For this reason, the Category 1 program must be within 85% compliance to the standard in order to complete the appropriate student tasks and subject criteria. Certain specific standards must be at 100% compliance for certification. CATEGORY 1 TWO- AND FOUR-STROKE GASOLINE ENGINES Recommended Instructional Materials, Tools, and Equipment Lists The following lists were compiled by the EETC from many sources, both from industry training departments and model school and college programs. While this specific list is not required at the 100% level for accreditation, it is highly recommended that a plan be developed by the school or college to meet these recommended lists for the specific area(s) of accreditation. This list was provided as a resource for proper instruction. 2
