1 Clinical Placement Settings & Priority Areas The Request for Proposal document (RFP) for the Clinical Training Funding for Student Growth and Expanding Clinical Training Capacity identified the following priority under serviced or high needs areas for clinical training: Rural and remote Primary care Community care Dental Mental health Aged care Private and non-government settings The table in Appendix A details the number of clinical placement days per state and territory under steadystate for all settings by each eligible profession under the RFP. Note that as Rural and Remote and Private and Non-government settings can also apply across the remaining priority settings they are detailed separately in Appendix C (Rural & Remote Clinical Placement Days) and Appendix D (Private and Non- Government Settings). The total number of clinical placement days under a steady-state for all professions is 1,196,733. Of these, 494,065 are in priority settings. This represents 41% of total clinical placement days.
