18 Major New Investments under development
19 Nea Mesimvria Compressor Station The construction of the Compressor Station of Nea Mesimvria will significantly increase the hydraulic stability of NNGS. The project has a budget of 61 million and 35% is funded by the Public Investment Program. The installation of two compressors of 7,7 MW each, is anticipated. The project is expected to be completed in the first half of 2011.
20 Aliveri Pipeline The High Pressure Aliveri pipeline is expected to commence in the next following months and is anticipated to be completed towards the end of the first half of The budget amounts to 64 million and the 35% of the project shall be co financed by the Public Investment Program. The pipeline has a totaling length of 72 km, including the offshore part which is 14 km.
21 2nd Expansion Phase of the existing LNG Terminal at Revythoussa DESFA completed the feasibility study for the construction of the third storage tank, including an increase of the gasification capacity. The EPC contract for the storage tank is expected to be launched in the beginning of The capacity of the Third Tank will be m 3 LNG, and will increase the total storage capacity of the Station to m 3 from m 3 LNG today. The Gas Send Out Capacity in normal operating conditions will increase from m 3 LNG/hr today to m 3 LNG/hr. The project is estimated to be completed within The budget of the project is 147 million. 70% of the project shall be co financed by the Public Investment Program.
22 New LNG Terminal Station in Crete DESFA in cooperation with the PPC is considering the construction of a new LNG terminal at Korakia in Crete, west of Heraklion. In the same area, the PPC will construct two new power plants totaling 500 MW, (2 x 250 MW). The development of a High Pressure network of the island is considered, for the supply of urban and industrial areas along the routing. The current budget of the LNG terminal is 470 mil. and it has been approved that the 35% will be funded by the Public Investment Program.
Transit Gas Projects 23
24 Komotini Thesprotia High Pressure Pipeline The Komotini Thesprotia pipeline, has a total length of 570 km, and it will extend the NNGS to the region of Thesprotia in order to supply with Natural Gas the areas of Western Greece. The diameter of the pipeline is estimated at 42 and its construction will entail technical specifications that will allow future connections with downstream systems of natural gas for transportation volumes in Italy. During the designing of the pipeline, all provisions have been considered for the future upgrading of the pipeline, in order deemed necessary to accommodate new suppliers. The completion of the construction is anticipated to be in 2015 and the current budget is estimated at 800 million. The new pipeline has all the necessary provisions, in order to transit gas quantities to neighbor countries. Gas Branches to Albania and FYROM, could be served using the main trunkline Komotini Thesprotia.
