The side on which the hinges are installed defines the handing of the hardware. Conversely, to determine the handing of Marvin Swinging French or Entry Doors, straddle the sill with your back to the hinge of the active panel. From this position, whichever hand you use to grab the door panel determines the handing of the active or primary panel. If applicable, the handing of the inactive or secondary panel is the opposite. Please refer to the Handing Guide above when ordering Marvin Architectural Hardware products. Note the differences between Door Handing and Hardware handing, and between inswing and outswing doors.
