1 Final mailing sponsored by July 2016 ACC Liverpool Dear Colleague, Thank you for registering to attend Symposium Mammographicum 2016 which is being held at the ACC Liverpool, Kings Dock, Liverpool L3 4FP from Sunday 3 to Tuesday 5 July We have a packed programme and an overview is included below to allow you to plan your attendance and make the most of the conference. Please take time to read all of the instructions as they provide important information that you need to know both about the conference and venue. The abstracts will also be available after the event from the following website: Registration On registration at ACC Liverpool, you will receive your name badge, Final Programme and Abstract Book and Exhibition Guide giving you further information on the symposium arrangements. In addition, you will receive your ticket for the Symposium Gala Dinner, if you have pre-booked and paid for this. The Registration area is situated in the Galleria of the Convention Centre and will be clearly signposted. Registration Opening Times: Sunday 3 July: Monday 4 July: Tuesday 5 July: Association of Breast Clinicians The Association of Breast Clinicians will be running their Annual Conference in parallel to Symposium Mammographicum on Monday 4 July at ACC Liverpool. Delegates are warmly invited to attend either conference. NHS Breast Screening Programme Update on Physics of Digital Mammography The NHS Breast Screening Programme Update on Physics of Digital Mammography will take place on Tuesday 5 July at ACC Liverpool, in parallel with Symposium Mammographicum. Although the update is primarily designed for medical physicists, other professionals registered at Symposium Mammographicum 2016 are welcome to attend. G E Healthcare Satellite Symposium G E Healthcare will be holding an afternoon Symposium on Sunday 3 July, from The topic will be The EASY Study European Asymptomatic Screening Study: 3D Automated Breast Ultrasound as an adjunct to mammography in a high volume screening center and will be presented by Dr. Brigitte Wilczek, MD, PhD, St. Görans Hospital, Stockholm Sweden. 2 Siemens Satellite Symposium Siemens will be holding a Breakfast Satellite Symposium on Monday 4 July, from The topic will be The changing faces of Breast Imaging and speakers will include Michael Golatta, MD from the University of Heidelberg and Dr Maria Bernathova from the Medical University of Vienna. Hologic Workshops We are delighted to announce that Hologic will be offering a series of educational sessions throughout Symposium Mammographicum. The Breast Biopsy: Hologic 3D Mammography workshop is now full but the Hologic 3D Mammography : Advanced Case Review workshop still has spaces. Fujifilm Workshops Fujifilm is proud to be exhibiting their award-winning Amulet Innovality at this year s Symposium Mammographicum. Delegates are invited to attend one of the Fujifilm Academy of Breast Imaging workshops run by Dr Anna Russo MD, of Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital in Italy, on Digital Breast Tomosynthesis The Fujifilm Experience. The workshops will run on Sunday 3 July from and on Monday 4 July at the following times; / / To book a space in this workshop you can log back into your conference booking here. Guided Poster Tours The Conference Committee will be leading guided poster tours on Tuesday 5 July. Members of the conference committee will lead attendees on a 30 minute tour of selected posters, sharing their perspectives and highlighting novel or recent developments in discussion sessions with poster presenters. Three posters will be included in each tour. A continental breakfast will be available from 08.00am with the tour commencing at 08.15am for 30 minutes. Places at the poster tour must be pre-booked, and can be done by logging back into your conference booking here. All delegates who have booked this will be given a ticket upon their arrival at conference. Welcome Reception, Buffet Supper, Exhibition & Poster Viewing Sunday 3 July, , Exhibition Hall (Hall A) A Welcome Reception and Buffet Supper will take place in the Exhibition Hall (Hall A) in ACC Liverpool allowing delegates an opportunity to visit the exhibition for the first time, view the poster displays and network with colleagues. Guests can expect wine, fruit juices, a hot fork buffet and entertainment. The Welcome Reception is included in the full registration fee and delegates who have confirmed their attendance at the reception while registering will receive a ticket for the Welcome Reception in their delegate envelope on arrival at the Symposium. Day delegates who have purchased a ticket will receive this on arrival at the Symposium. Symposium Mammographicum Gala Dinner Monday 4 July, , Hilton Hotel, Liverpool The Symposium Mammographicum Gala Dinner will take place at the Hilton Hotel, 3 Thomas Steers Way, Liverpool, L1 8LW. The dinner includes a reception drink followed by a 3 course meal, wine, coffee and entertainment. Our after dinner entertainment will be provided by The Sounds of the 60s featuring The Revolvers. Suited and booted, The Revolvers are an energetic tribute to the lost decade of the 60 s. The Revolvers cover songs from artists such as Small Faces, The Kinks, The Beatles, The Who, Spencer Davis Group, The Rolling Stones and many more. The dress code for the evening is lounge suits.

3 Tickets should be booked and prepaid in advance of the Symposium. If you wish to purchase a ticket, please log back into your conference booking here. All delegates who have booked, and paid for their dinner ticket will receive this upon their arrival at Symposium. Refreshments and lunch Refreshments will be available in the Exhibition Hall (Hall A) for the conference delegates during the official morning and afternoon refreshment breaks on Monday and Tuesday. Lunch will be provided each day in the Exhibition Hall (Monday and Tuesday). Messages for delegates We are unable to convey any messages personally. Therefore, please restrict messages to emergencies only. Messages received for delegates will be displayed on a noticeboard by the Registration desk. Dress Dress throughout the conference will be informal. Cloakroom The cloakroom will be open throughout the event, in the Galleria of the Convention Centre. Mobile phones Please switch your phones to silent during all conference sessions. We do however encourage attendees to make use of social media during the conference and in particular the Twitter hashtag #SYMPMAMM2016 Cancellation policy We regret that any cancellations or no shows will still be charged the full registration fee however all conference documentation will be forwarded to the registered delegate by after the meeting. Substitutes may be made without penalty but must be received in writing prior to the event. 4 Getting to ACC Liverpool BY AIR Liverpool John Lennon regional airport is served by a range of charter and low-cost scheduled flights from domestic, European and international destinations, while Manchester Airport, served by a wide range of international flights, is just 45 minutes' drive away. BY TRAIN ACC Liverpool is a short taxi ride from Liverpool Lime Street station. Direct services from London take just over two hours. BY CAR From the south: Leave the M6 at junction 21A and take the M62 to Liverpool. At the end of the M62 follow signs for Liverpool City Centre along Edge Lane, picking up and following signs for The Waterfront. The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is signposted 'Waterfront' on the city wide 'available spaces' signage. From the north: Leave the M6 at junction 26 and follow signs for M58 Liverpool. Follow to the end of the M58 and then take signs for A59 Liverpool. Continue to follow Liverpool City Centre until picking up signs for the Waterfront.
