1 Taktisch Waffen LLC Proven Firearms and Tactical Training COURSE CATALOG & 2017 Schedule Taktisch Waffen LLC was formed in 2010 and provides contracted firearms and tactical training to law enforcement agencies, private security, and citizens. Taktisch Waffen s approach to firearms training focuses on learning effective fundamentals and then applying those fundamentals to shooting challenges. Being competent and effective when employing firearms defensively involves two fundamental skill sets, accuracy and gun handling skills. Accuracy is the ability to effectively hit the target under stress. Gun handling skills include the ability to get firearm into action quickly, reload efficiently, and effectively address malfunctions under stress. We use time proven training techniques and drills to develop these skills Lt Keith Hafer (Ret) is the instructor for these courses. Lt Hafer served with the Berrien County Sheriffs Department for 32 years. Lt Hafer's assignments included 28 years as a Firearms Instructor (26 years as the Dept s Lead Instr), 24 years as a SWAT officer (12 years as Team Commander), and 11 years with the Narcotics Unit (7 years as Unit Commander). Since retiring from BCSD Lt Hafer has continued to provide firearms and tactical training to law enforcement, private security, and citizens. 1/5

2 DEFENSIVE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL COURSE, LEVEL 1 fundamentals of the pistol and expand the experienced shooter's skills with the pistol. Topics covered include correct stance and grip, hand only, use of cover from multiple positions, and the dynamics of lethal force for self defense. All techniques and tactics are based on practical application of the pistol for self-defense. Cost: $125 pouch, 400 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. DEFENSIVE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL COURSE, LEVEL 2 This one day course will expand an established shooter's self defense skills with the semi-auto pistol. Topics covered include a review of reloading and malfunction clearance while maximizing use of cover, shooting from positions of disadvantage, shooting while moving, and engaging multiple targets. Completion of our Defensive Pistol Level 1 course is a prerequisite to participation in this course. Cost: $125 pouch, 500 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. 2/5

3 DEFENSIVE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL LOW LIGHT / NO LIGHT COURSE This one night course exposes the shooter to engaging threats under various low ambient lighting conditions, multiple hand held flashlight techniques, reloading techniques, use of cover, and weapon mounted light techniques. Completion of our Defensive Pistol Level 1 course is a prerequisite to participation in this course. Cost: $125 pouch, 200 rounds of ammunition, a full size high intensity flashlight (ie Maglight, Streamlight, etc) and a compact tactical flashlight with a tail-cap switch (ie Surefire, Steamlight, etc), a weapon mounted light is optional, eye and ear protection. DEFENSIVE SHOTGUN COURSE fundamentals of the shotgun and expand the experienced shooter's skills with the shotgun. Topics covered include correct stance and grip, side, use of cover from multiple positions, shooting while moving, and understanding the effectiveness of various shotgun projectiles. All techniques and tactics are based on practical application of the shotgun for self-defense. Cost: $125 Equipment requirements: 12 or 20 ga Pump or Semi-Auto Shotgun, 250 rounds of target loads (#7 1/2 or 6 shot, no steel shot), 15 rounds of Buckshot (00B-#3B), 10 rounds of slug ammunition, eye and ear protection. 3/5

4 TACTICAL AR-15 COURSE, LEVEL 1 fundamentals of the AR-15 and expand the experienced shooter's skills with the AR-15. Topics covered include correct stance and grip, side, use of cover from multiple positions, and the dynamics of lethal force for self defense. All techniques are based on practical application of the AR-15 for self-defense. Cost: $125 Equipment requirements: AR-15 Carbine/Rifle, three 30 round magazines, 400 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. TACTICAL AR-15 COURSE, LEVEL 2 This one day course will expand an established shooter's tactical skills with the AR-15. Topics covered include a review of reloading and malfunction clearance skills while maximizing the use of cover, enhanced use of cover from the strong and support side while firing from unconventional positions, shooting while moving, and precision CQB engagement. Completion of our Tactical AR15 Level 1 course is a prerequisite to participation in this course.
