1 Debit MasterCard Genting Charge and Stay Promotion The Debit MasterCard Genting Charge and Stay Promotion (the Promotion ) is organized by MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd ( MAPPL ) and Genting Malaysia Berhad and First World Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd (collectively Genting ). The Promotion period is from 1 st October 2010 to 15 th December 2010 (both dates inclusive) ( Promotion Period ). I. Eligibility 1. The Promotion is open to all cardholders of valid Debit MasterCard cards issued in Malaysia (the Cardholders ) aged 18 years and above, except for employees and the immediate family members of MAPPL and Genting, their promotion agencies, advertising agencies and PR agencies and their associated companies related to the Promotion. 2. Cardholders must spend a minimum of RM30 per transaction at five (5) different merchants, anywhere in Malaysia or overseas during the Promotion Period using the same Debit MasterCard card in order to be eligible to redeem one (1) voucher ( Voucher ) for a one (1) night complimentary stay at the First World Hotel at Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands. Only eligible Debit MasterCard card transaction slips dated within the Promotion Period can be used to participate in the Promotion. All transactions must be made from the same Debit MasterCard card. II. Redemption 1. The redemption period for claiming the Voucher is from 15 th October 2010 to 18 th December 2010 (both dates inclusive) ( Redemption Period ). Any redemption received after 18 th December 2010 will not be accepted. 2. 2 Kuching No 2, Ground Floor, Block A, Wisma Nation Horizon, Jalan Petanak, Kuching, Sarawak b) Cardholders are required to bring along their original identification card, Debit MasterCard card, the five (5) original copies of the Debit MasterCard card transaction slips from the five (5) different merchants each with a minimum spend of RM30. c) Cardholders have to fill in a redemption form from the redemption counter with their personal details: Full name as per NRIC or MyKad, mailing address and telephone number. 2.2 Mail-in redemption a) Every mail-in redemption must include the following: i. A copy of the identification card of the Cardholder ii. A copy of Debit MasterCard card (revealing only the first 6-digits and the last 4-digits) iii. The five (5) original copies of the Debit MasterCard card transaction slips from the five (5) different merchants each with a minimum spend of RM30. iv. Personal details: Full name as per NRIC or MyKad, mailing address and telephone number b) Send mail via normal mail to: Debit MasterCard Genting Charge and Stay Promotion, P.O.Box 3373, Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. c) Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Only mail-in redemption sent via normal mail to the official P.O. Box address stated above and which are actually received will be accepted. d) Mail-in redemption sent via dispatch, courier service, registered mail, POS Express or POS Laju will not be entertained and will be disqualified. 3. All redemptions are based on a first-come-first-served basis and are only valid while stock of Vouchers last. Cardholder to check status via hotline before 14 January 2011 (Mondays to Fridays, 10.00am to 5.00pm, excluding public holidays). III. Terms and Conditions of use of the Voucher 1. The Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash or any other item. 2. No extension on the validity of the Voucher is allowed. 3. The Voucher is not applicable with any other on-going promotions/discounts. 4. If the Voucher item or any component thereof is unavailable for any reason whatsoever, MAPPL and Genting reserve the right, at their sole and absolute discretion, to provide an alternative redemption item of an equivalent value without prior notice. In such a case, the Cardholder will not have any claim whatsoever for any compensation in respect thereof. 5. Neither MAPPL nor Genting will be liable or responsible for any lost, stolen, altered, illegible, defaced or expired Vouchers. 6. All out-of-pocket expenses, spending money, meals, travel expenses, taxes, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs and expenses incurred by the eligible Cardholder in redeeming and using the Voucher are the responsibility of and shall be borne by the eligible Cardholder.

3 7. Eligible Cardholders shall be solely responsible for any taxes or duties payable by them as a result of participation in the Promotion. 8. Other terms and conditions printed on the Voucher will apply. In the event of any conflict between the terms and conditions contained herein and the terms and conditions printed on the Voucher, the terms and conditions printed on the Voucher shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency. IV. Booking and Confirmation 1. The Voucher is only valid for use from 1 st October 2010 to 10 th March 2011 (both dates inclusive) except on 5 th November 2010, 6 th November 2010, 25 th December 2010, 31 st December 2010, 8 th January 2011, 3 rd February 2010, 4 th February 2010, 5 th February 2010, 6 th February 2010 and 7 th February 2011 and subject to Super Peak Season. 2. Please refer to the seasonal chart on the Voucher or log in to for more information. 3. Bookings with accumulated Vouchers are permitted. 4. All bookings must be made not less than seven (7) days prior to check-in date. The last date for making a booking using the Voucher is before 5.00pm on 3 rd March 2011 after which the Voucher will be deemed expired and null and void. The Voucher must be utilised before 10 th March All bookings and confirmations are subject to room availability and on a first-come-first-served basis, subject to daily room quota. 6. All bookings must be made through either: a. Website: Log in to or b. Genting World Reservation Centre at (daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm). For telephone booking, a handling fee of RM15 will be imposed on the Cardholder. 7. The Voucher is only valid for a one (1) night complimentary stay (Deluxe room only without breakfast, based on a Twin sharing basis) at the First World Hotel at Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands. 8. The official check-in time is 3.00pm and check-out time is 12.00pm. Eligible Cardholders must present their original Vouchers at the front office upon check-in. 9. No room upgrade and changing of hotel are permitted. 10. The Voucher will be considered null and void if the booking is cancelled or in the event of a no show. 11. Any amendment on the confirmation of booking can be done through phone at An administrative charge of RM30 per transaction will be imposed on the Cardholder. 12. The normal room rate shall apply for any extended stay. V. Miscellaneous 1. MAPPL and Genting have the sole and absolute discretion to exclude any Cardholder (including but not limited to any Cardholder who does not operate his/her account in a satisfactory manner as

4 determined by the relevant issuing bank in its sole discretion) from the Promotion without any obligation to furnish any notice and/or reason whatsoever. 2. By participating in this Promotion, each Cardholder fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these terms and conditions. All decisions made by MAPPL regarding the Promotion and all matters related to or connected with it, including without limitation, the interpretation of these terms and conditions, are final and binding and no queries shall be entertained. 3. All other terms and conditions contained in the website ( will apply to this Promotion. 4. MasterCard does not assume any responsibility for any products and services offered under the Promotion. The products and services have not been certified by MasterCard and under no circumstances shall the inclusion of any product or service in the Promotion be construed as an endorsement or recommendation of such product or service by MasterCard. No representation or warranty of any kind is given by MasterCard as to the products and services offered under the Promotion and all liability of any kind whatsoever is excluded to the extent permissible by applicable law. The hotel operators and owners and suppliers of products and services are not agents, contractors, employees, servants, consultants, associated companies/entities or affiliates of MasterCard. No representation or warranty of any kind is given by MasterCard as to the quality, description or characteristic of any redemption item. 5. MAPPL, MasterCard International Incorporated ( MCI ), MCI members, associated companies and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents shall not, to the extent permissible by law, be liable in any way whatsoever in respect of the following: a. any redemption item that is damaged, defaced, illegible, lost, stolen, misdirected or otherwise not received; b. inaccurate redemption information, howsoever caused; c. any amount charged to a Cardholder s account in the course of entering the Promotion; d. virus or other corruption, technical or mechanical error or failure, human error, negligence or unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry processes or the operation or administration of the Promotion; and e. any liability, loss, injury, claim or damage (including, without limitation, death or personal injury) sustained, incurred or suffered by any Cardholder or any other person caused by or arising from (whether directly or indirectly, in whole or in part) any participation in the Promotion or the receipt, use or misuse of any Voucher. Each Cardholder shall indemnify and hold harmless MAPPL, MCI, MCI members, MCI s associated companies and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents against any claim, action, proceeding, judgment, damage, loss, expense or liability made against or incurred or suffered by any of MAPPL, MCI, MCI members, MCI s associated companies and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents in connection with such Cardholder s or other person s participation in the Promotion and, in the case of a Cardholder who has a successful redemption, the receipt, use or misuse of any Voucher by such Cardholder or any other person. 6. MAPPL reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any redemption or Cardholder and to modify, extend, terminate or suspend the Promotion and/or redemption at any time in the event that the administration, security, fairness or proper play or handling of the Promotion and/or redemption be interfered with or is otherwise impaired for any reason whatsoever or if directed to do so by any lawful authority. If the Promotion and/or redemption is so modified, extended, terminated or suspended, MAPPL shall be entitled to select, at its sole and absolute discretion, any eligible Cardholder who has applied to redeem his/her Voucher prior to such modification, extension, termination or suspension for the award of any Voucher. 7. All entries remain the sole property of MAPPL. All participants information is held within MAPPL s secured database. Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Promotion constitutes each

5 Cardholder s consent to MAPPL s use of their name, personal description, likeness and opinions for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media. 8. If any of the provisions of these terms and conditions becomes or is invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect under any law, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected of impaired. 9. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia and participants of the Promotion agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. The Promotion is not open to persons whose law of domicile prohibits them from participating in the Promotion and in the event such persons are selected as winners they will be disqualified. 10. MAPPL may at its sole and absolute discretion amend the terms and conditions set out herein without notice. 11.
