Remote SQL Server If the remote SQL Server is running SQL 2005 version, the database must be created using a SQL login. The setup will not create a SQL login for HP Access Control Job Accounting, and a trusted connection will be used with named pipes. The HP Access Control Job Accounting Agent must be started with a domain account to connect to the remote database. If the remote server is running SQL 2000 version, either Windows or SQL authentication can be used to create the database. The setup will not create a SQL login for HP Access Control Job Accounting, and a trusted connection will be used with named pipes. The HP Access Control Job Accounting Agent must be started with a domain account to connect to the remote database. How to configure database access when HP ACJA is installed using a remote SQL Server When the HP ACJA database is installed on a remote server, the database connection must be configured for the following activities: To allow HP ACJA to process job accounting files To allow the end user to connect to the HP ACJA website to schedule and view reports Two methods are available to connect to the remote database: Windows authentication and SQL authentication. ENWW Installing HP Access Control Job Accounting 17

26 Using Windows Authentication (default) When Windows authentication is used, anonymous authentication must be enabled in IIS using a Windows account with database access to the HP ACJA WS database.
