This examination is based on your experience and understanding of the drama aspects of this live performance. Answer THREE of the four questions in this booklet. All answers must be based on the same live performance. Write your answers in paragraph form or as notes in bullet-point form. Support your answers with details and specific examples from the live performance. Do not repeat information in your answers to different questions. Space is provided for diagrams and sketches to be included, if appropriate, in your answers. Sketches will be assessed for the information they convey, not the quality of the drawing. Simple diagrams and / or stick figures are likely to be adequate. Write the details of the live drama / theatre performance in the box below. Techniques are the use of voice, body, movement, and space (eg body language, facial expression, and stance). Choose ONE important moment in the performance to answer this question. Do not use the same moment you used if you answered Question One. (a) (i) Describe what happens in this moment. (ii) Briefly explain why it is an important moment in the performance. (b) Explain how an actor uses voice, body, movement and / or space to communicate something important to the audience in this moment. Refer to at least ONE of the following in your answer: what the character was feeling or thinking about at the time what the character wanted to communicate to another character the conflict or tension within a character or between characters something that had changed for a character. Support your answer with details and specific examples from the performance.
